It's hard to find non-denominational Christian churches in urban areas now a days that don't teach the "wrong" messages. Pastor Tim was very nice and took some time to pray for us afterwards. His message was exactly what we needed to hear as we make our way through our new business venture. We met a few people our age that invited us to bible study groups and out to brunch. We love small churches where we can help out and watch them blossom and grow. Will definitely come back! It had a change of pastor recently, which has taken time to get used to (as all change requires), but the change was necessary. So far, I still enjoy Gateway NFW even though it isn't my home church for the time being. So I attended the very next Sunday and it was equally as good as the Sunday before. Turning Point is one of the churches where the pastor has people turn around and wander around a bit after Praise and Worship songs to go say hi and shake hands and stuff. The music is good, the pastor is engaging and has 3 screens behind him showing all of the bible scriptures that he references. We met a few people that were quite friendly. Daughter is 26, we ended up going to the 11 service (traditional). It was a whole symphony orchestra for worship. Not what we had in mind but we stayed and the message was amazing. Pastor Cody was good. My daughter has since returned and attended the 9 service (contemporary) and I think she's found her new church! Her and I both agree, worship sets the table for the meal! The concert was very entertaining and kept getting better as the night went by. An incredible modern day performance was given by a grandfather and granddaughter. The grandfather would remember music from his time and would get into costume to try to explain the music to his granddaughter but, she wasn't having it! So, he used Alexa to play the music he was referring too. That s when the orchestra played live songs from movies like,Superman,James Bond, The Incredibles and so much more. A brief movie clip was played while they performed! There was even music from The Greatest Showman! MY favorite movie. They received a standing O! While there were lots of people there. I was able to find parking quickly. A program directory was given by a Sr Citizen who looked me up and down while handing me a brochure. Awkward. There were a few seats available but, it was hard to see over people's head. So thankful to CCBC for allowing me to witness such an awesome performance! Glory to God in the to highest for all who created these beautiful pieces of music. A master piece here in my home town of Fort Worth, Texas!
