I was going for a fall forest vibe and the secret garden met that and more. We got the Day of Coordinator package and it was so worth it. Literally the best to not have to have our "Boo Crew" clean up after. Plus there is so much more to that package. Also you can rent linens and decor from the venue. As far as the contract and communication, Shanna and Roland were perfectly clear on payment dates and vendors (security, insurance, alcohol policies) that would be needed. I read the contract, signed, paid and got married. Truly had no issues. I planned the whole wedding myself so I was able to stay on top of getting vendors on time and paying early! Very smooth event. 10/10 would get married here again. Probably gonna renew our vows here tbh! Will not disappoint!

I felt like I was in a magical forest. -The area is about a 50 minute drive from Dallas so the location isn't too far out in the middle of nowhere and it still has a beautiful vibes of nature. -The indoor venue is a cozy ,comfortable and was well ventilated with air conditioning. Cons -This location is that it's not made for big weddings. Any more than 200 people than it would have crowded in my opinion. -The parking and roads into the wedding venue is composed of rocks and gravel. Ladies need to be careful when wearing high heels and dress shoes to the venue. -There's wasp and bees at the venue. (Of course this can't be really helped) The Recommendation: This is a beautiful venue for a small outdoor wedding. Come in late summer or early fall for good weather.

He was so negative the entire day to our families while they were setting up. My MIL nicknamed him Mr. Happy because he always had a negative response to anything and everything or a angry look on his face. The wedding coordinator he suggests you use... Don't. She kept interfering with pictures and telling people where to go. That's what I paid the photographer for. She is in quite a few pictures that were very important, like me being walked down the aisle. His minister he refers to you is very long winded and wouldn't quit talking during the ceremony. So if you like short and sweet, don't use him. He has very many rules that weren't made apparent during our first visit, had I known... We wouldn't have used K Star. Read before you sign. But that was my mistake. I will become a regular here and I found out Wednesday is happy hour prices. Reds for $6 and white for $5 a glass. Susan took care of us and she was amazing!! She allowed us to taste the wines to make sure we liked our final selection. She answered all our questions and educated my friend on the different types of wine because she was a beginner wine drinker. We also learned that all the wines they serve are Lost Oak's. Even though we got there at 7:20 and they closed at 8pm she didn't rush us and took her time serving us. My friend got a white wine and I got the cabernet franc. We both enjoyed them. The establishment is beautiful, the have seating outside and inside. They also have games and a wine club you can join. Can't wait to go back especially when the weather is a little cooler so we can use their fire pits.

A plus for the ambience. We did clay moving shooting and archery . They were good . Got to see lots of longhorns cows and other cows along with lamas. Didn't have time for other activities but they have more couple. Resturant is not available through out the day , I think that is only drawback I found . But few mins away their are eating places , R&K cafe was good and nearby .
