This little place was extremely unique. It's not a huge place but it has decent seating. The customer service was welcoming. I ordered 1/2 California club and a cup of broccoli soup. The food was good overall I probably could have jazzed up the soup a little but it was not bad. I will bring my husband with me the next time I visit and I will definitely try one of the fountain drinks they are known for. read more

Came here just for the ice cream. The banana split was HUGE! So delicious. And pineapple preserve that they put on the vanilla was amazing. The brownie fudge sundae was also a big portion and was delicious. The strawberry shake was just that. The service was sooo slow tho but it's run by a bunch of teenagers. They tried to give us someone else's order twice. read more

Such a great place to stop when your walking around Waxahachie. I got the tomorrow's bisque soup and grilled cheese with chips for lunch. My friends got a variety of sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed their food. The servers were very try nice even if they were super busy. Service was a little slow but it made for a relaxing time. My sister & I ordered salads (chef & Caesar) and they looked better than it tasted. The dressing didn't enhance anything. Something about the word "farm" made me excited at the thought of flavors and freshness. I was expecting maybe grilled chicken or turkey chopped, instead it was chicken cubes and sandwich meat on top. The young lady who took my order was pleasant and welcoming despite them being super busy. It took longer than I expected to get a salad and the poor waiter was over it. lol My sister did order a chocolate shake and said it was delicious. Can't say enough about this place! Cute little spot in downtown and VERY affordable. Most of their sandwich/wraps are full sandwiches that come with chips and a pickle that are in the 7-8 dollar price range for the full meal. They also have specialty sodas you can put flavors in and still get free refills! Did I mention their food is delicious? My go to is the jalepeno pimento cheese sandwich! The teenage cashier shorted me $10. She was distracted with the phone ringing and failed at multi-tasking. Yes it's partly my fault too for not counting back, but my hands were full with a baby. I would think I could still trust people to do their job. Service has been very slow with very long wait. Food is good ans it's a nice spot for lunch if you are in the square. read more

This has been a place we go for dessert for years and it has been amazingly consistent. We stopped by the other night after dinner out at a place which had desserts we did not prefer and the wife ordered a banana split. The Split is huge as is the fudge sundae I sometimes order. The place is seemingly run by teenagers which does lead to occasional service issues. I have decided I do not like the screen as you pay that asks for a substantial tip for merely taking an order and calling your name when food is ready because the service is often not that good and can be very slow. In the future I will pay cash and leave a tip on the table if I actually get quick and accurate service. I will definitely continue to make the periodic visit to farm luck and I am glad that it exists. read more

This little sandwich and soda fountain is run by teenagers, so the service was not very attentive, but smooth with no issues. Hubby and I sat at the counter for a couple of sandwiches. The sandwiches were simple with premade fillings and comes with a handful of chips and a pickle spear at about $6 a plate. Good with no frills.. read more

Food is just average but the amount of styrofoam to go boxes being used is extremely excessive and unnecessary. 4 of us are eating in and just use paper plates but they brought out 4 huge styrofoam boxes. Very unnecessary and bad Us Us for the environment. Please use an alternative option. read more

We wanted to go into town and try some new food we honestly didn't know what to expect. My wife got a BLT and I got the Farm Club and my son a grilled cheese! We loved every bite and that the place had a great family staff. Our son lost his shoe and we didn't know when we walked out thankfully a staff member came and got us and we got his shoe back! I loved this little throwback place! I have seen many people try to capture the essence of the yesteryear soda fountains that were a sidenote of small-town pharmacies, but few ever capture it. This beautifully restored building now ice cream shop, candy store, restaurant offers a variety of fresh + delicious sweet treats. The young staff is extremely polite and efficient. I took my son here to get ice cream because we haven't tried this ice cream shop yet. We were given 1 very small scoop, maybe 2 tablespoons at the most. When I asked if it was just a small scoop, thinking it may have been a mistake, the employee behind the counter went over and whispered and laughed with another employee. This is a hidden gym. Great little sandwich spot. Quality food for a very affordable price. I purchased a California club w/ chips for under $9. Sandwich review: Bread was perfectly toasted, reasonable portion of turkey, bacon cooked well (not soggy but not hard as rock) and plain Ruffles. The only suggestion I have is to have a variety of chips available. However, they offer the soup or fruit alternative for an additional charge. Overall, I liked the service I received and the taste of my food. I will be back the next time I'm in the Waxahachie area. 4 stars for now until I patron this business more than once. read more

We visited Farm Luck for lunch. We had our dogs with us, so we got our order to go. The cashier was very friendly and helpful with recommendations since if was our first time visiting. Our food was freshly made, even the banana pudding was assembled fresh. The sandwiches were great. Nothing fancy but well executed. Next time we are in Waxahachie, we will come back. read more

Banana Split and cookies were delicious. We tried all three cookies; PB, Oatmeal Raisin, and Chocolate Chip. They were all good. We also had the French Press coffee. It was strong and tasty. The only reason we're giving four stars is because a young female employee licked her finger and coughed into her hand. Plus there were lots of employees; too many to have that many "un"-bussed tables. Very cute shop and things ran much more efficiently when the owner/manager started working behind the bar read more

I enjoyed the most delicious brownie sundae while visiting here. The friend I was with ordered a root beer float and she loved it just as much. They even brought her extra root beer in a separate mason jar. I mean that is awesome! We sat outside in the shade and watched people drive and walk by. This is such a cute and quaint place to try. It wasn't very busy at all. It was the middle of the day on a Tuesday. I believe this place is kinda new....and you should totally go and check it out. The staff was friendly and patient for this newbie trying to figure out what to order. Although the brownie sundae was so yummy, I will have to try the root beer float next time, I think that is their name to fame. This place is right on the square and has plenty of parking nearby. Our grandkids have a super early school lunchtime (10:55) and I wanted to surprise them with lunch at their elementary school before our visit to their annual book fair. It's hard to find a takeout restaurant that serves lunch before 10:30. This location opens at 10 and was very accommodating to insure the lunches were ready in plenty of time for me to make the trek to the school and get through the school security vetting process on time for the lunch period. The wonderful employee behind the counter even packaged their small ice cream treats in a plastic bag with ice to keep the ice cream sandwiches from melting as I forgot to bring an insulated cooler. I ordered one each of the kids hamburger, grilled cheese and chicken strip meals for our three. The two 5 year olds and 8 year old ate every bite of their lunches and said it was delicious. You can find all the supplements you've been searching for, as well as specialty foods and my personal favorite, Dave's Bread (white done right), is the best! The food at the cafe is fresh and very tasty, we enjoyed the grass-fed cheeseburger and the chicken salad sandwich with cranberries. I'm a fan!!
