Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! In general, all ages are welcome until 8pm. Beer, cider, non-alcoholic drinks are available and a few other goodies. Including 2 groovy bathrooms on site that are of course covered with stickers. Keith was great in providing us information and follow up, and within 1 week of our initial meeting we were ready to hit the water! Big shoutout to the dock staff as well - always friendly and helpful. Even with the busy-ness of the summer, the way the reservation system is set up, it makes it fair for everyone to have access to the boats. We managed to get out almost every weekend (or if not, the some weeknights) this summer. It is also so convenient to be able to use all 5 ports in the Puget Sound, and can't wait to try out one of the reciprocal locations.

Jonathan went above and beyond to help us out and is very experienced. He even has some decor you can use. The venue was beautiful and everyone loved it. Such a fun city venue. We decorated with a lot of warm lights to add to the soft glow it already has. The little room attached we used for a beer garden, which everyone loved. Get married here!!! Jonathan is very flexible and helped us plan our perfect wedding in 3 months. Literally the day before I decided to do a photo booth and he actually made photo booth props on such short notice. He really knew what I wanted and helped make it even better. It would have been a huge mess without him. THANK YOU!

Get the SLU Discount Card which will get you discounts, buy one/get one or other perks from participating companies in the neighborhood. You can simply ask the business or look up specials on the discovery center's website. I contacted them and requested 500 of these cards which they shipped to me at no cost. I used them to pass out to all of my staff who work in SLU. Great people work here who are happy to answer any questions that you may have. SLU is known for horrid parking and there isn't any at this location. There are paid lots a couple blocks away.

One of the most important things for us was finding a venue "that had a space for everyone" and that's EXACTLY what the Foundry provides. You wanna dance? It's an AWESOME dance floor. Need a breather? Check out the courtyard or the rooftop. Want to be involved but just watch? There are various side-rooms and balconies to check out the action. Of course, another huge pro is that catering is provided in-house, so it made that part of the process so much easier. We also used their list of recommended vendors, all of whom are familiar with the space, and it made set-up on the day of the event an absolute breeze. We do need to respectfully acknowledge that communication with the venue was... a little suspect at times. They experienced a lot of turnover over the past year (as well as some pricing changes), and while we were ultimately very happy with our experience, we hope they can get back to some consistency so that all couples and events get a smooth experience! Also there wasn't enough candles as it was in other states. The chair we sat was very stiff and it hurt to sit for 1 hour or maybe I am too skinny lol I guess all this imperfections is Fevers fault because Block 41 its just an event space. Good thing that we coud change seat and come closer because a lot of seats were empty. Overall was good to be out. Overall its a good event space with bathrooms and 2nd floor.
