They had a lot of nice touches like a blind date with a bookshelf, color coded tape in the romance section that indicated how "spicy" a book was, and cute stationary and cards. The blind date with the books were so cute, 25$ each but they come with stickers and would be such a good gift for someone. The books were also reasonably priced and they had some discount shelves. I will definitely be coming back here.

Rubberstampmadness or RSM was the first magazine that really got me interested in rubber stamping…read more A former co-worker gave me old copies of the magazine and I was hooked on all the eye candy in the magazine. They feature more scenic stamping (some surreal or DH calls weird and some downright elegant and cute). This isn't just a how to magazine ala Stampers Sampler or Paper Crafts. They also have artist interviews and informative craft info. About 10 years ago, this magazine was packed with ads from all sorts of rubber stamp companies but with the ebbing of the craft (scrapbooking is where it's at right now), those companies and ads have diminished considerably. No matters, this is still the most fun, irreverent RS mag available. I prefer their style of writing over the breathless harlequinesque style of Stamper's Sampler, Somerset Studio, etc.

They even had new release sections and a ton of other genres. Cute notebooks and stationary here as well. One of the employees was really friendly and helped me find a book I was looking for and gave me some other recommendations which was helpful. I could tell she knew a lot about books.

Since it only comes out monthly, its "news" topics fade quickly. This is a free weekly local paper and it's fantastic. One of the best parts is the reader…read moresubmissions, typically it's the assinine rantings of the local puritanicals, angry hipsters, you name it and its represented in this section and published in its entirety. It's hysterical, and made even funnier by the staff writers responses. The articles are light reading, but entertaining and informative. Revenue for the paper is generated by advertising so you'll see a lot of that. But it also has a pretty decent local calling (Not that anything ever really goes on here) a good way to keep up on local music and such. Hey, its FREE! How can you complain about something someone is just giving you?

Like a LOT of white comic boxes. Organization is not the prime directive here, but the selection, new/used/valuable is good and the staff is the right amount of nerdy knowledgeable with out being nerdy elitist - you know the type... "Oh, you just started collecting TMNT and don't know about Groo the Wanderer..." Prices are retail for new stuff. A sleeve and board will set you back $0.25. Collectables are priced in line with the Overstreet guide, but they can be a little optimistic on the grading, so margin hard. I have never sold any used comics to them (hoarder!) and I cannot speak to pricing there, but they are legit is every other aspect that I have dealt with this on. In short, this is where I buy my local comics for myself and as gifts.

They have articles on gardening, canning, recipes, seed saving, personal defense articles by Massad Ayoob, herbalism, etc. The cover art is beautifully hand drawn. I read the articles, look at the photos and dream. I love this magazine!
