I was a bit hesitant but my MD encouraged me to use MBSR to help alleviate some persistent pain issues I've experienced for years. Rather than medication, a mindful approach may help make me feel better. I finished the class in March and here it is in May and my life has changed for the better. MBSR can't accomplish miracles but it has given me a beautiful approach to enjoy life, alleviate issues, and look at pain, people, and the need to be "busy and productive" in a different way. Brenda is a warm, sensitive, thoughtful, and practiced person with a gentle approach to leading you through the eight weeks of MBSR. If you experience stress, stuck in a rat race, pain, or other difficulties this may also help you. Brenda will help without any pressure or push. It's all good. Try for yourself...MBSR is a massive redirect to leading your life.

I've debated on writing this review because I truly believe Liliya has genuine care for patients…read more However, when thinking about the misguided medical advice and hundreds and hundreds of dollars I spent, I feel the need to strongly advise women 35 and older to avoid her practice.  I don't want anyone else to waste time and money like I did.  I came to Liliya in an attempt to find relief from extreme anxiety, weight gain, gastrointestinal issues, and migraines. After many months of following Liliya's treatment plan, which included expensive cleanses, supplements, hair tests, pellets, and sound bites on top of her monthly fee, I was no better.  Enough was enough. I had to find more adequate care to find out what I had already suspected, my symptoms were due to menopause. I had mentioned this suspicion to Liliya but she blew me off.  Liliya's approach was fragmented, focusing on individual symptoms rather than addressing the underlying hormonal imbalance.  The whole reason I came to a holistic doctor was to have my body looked at as a whole, and Liliya was not doing this.  I remember Liliya saying that I had "so many different symptoms" that she needed to focus on what was bothering me most first.  Well any medical practitioner who knows anything about menopause would recognize every one of the symptoms I was experiencing as menopause. We're not talking about some obscure disease that no one has heard of.  We are talking about menopause. A period of life that every woman goes through if she lives long enough. With the symptoms I was experiencing, this should have been one of the first, if not the very first thing ruled out before going through the crazy litany of potions she continued to sell me for months on end. I urge others to seek a practitioner who can effectively address hormonal issues and provide comprehensive care. The time and money I wasted on Liliya's treatments were infuriating.

As she's working, I can feel energy shifting and I can get into a wonderful relaxed state of just being and not thinking. For someone who lives in their head all the time, it's a delightful feeling. You have the choice to have her say what's she's sensing or not but I love to hear what's she's sensing, as it's so accurate and to me, it helps me change to terms with my feelings or know what to focus on in the coming weeks. The best part is, after every cleanse, I feel lighter and more connected, even after some very heavy work that may bring up an array of emotions: when I leave, I feel like the sun is shining brighter and all my favorite songs are on the radio. And that feeling stays with me for several days to weeks after. The three session pack is a great deal for the amount of healing you get and it's very flexible: you could use these monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, etc depending on your needs. I'm putting Reiki healing with Claire up there with getting massages or seeing a chiropractor: go when you need it but also when you don't to prevent needing it.
