Pastor Kurt Neely helped push through the transfer of my family's property while we were in crisis. He relied on a longtime neighbor pretending to be my grandmother's son -- a family imposter with zero legal authority. Even after being told my grandmother had recently been in a coma and was bedridden, he still suggested using a van with a lift to get her to the title company. The title company employee had to come out to the car to get her signature.
He ignored a valid Power of Attorney, never contacted the rightful heir, and moved forward under circumstances that were alarming to anyone paying attention. If that home had been protected, my grandmother would have had a safe place to return to -- and she likely would still be alive today. Instead, my mother, a disabled single mom of seven, was shut out completely and ended up homeless on a sidewalk in Seattle with two small children.
