Unprofessional & Shoddy work Worst experience I've had: I dropped of 2 blazers mid Sept, went back 4 times to pickup- each time they were not ready, no one called with an update. Finally got my blazers Oct 15th. They were short staffed but should hv communicated this or not taken in new projects. Was the job well done, not at all very poor work, sadly, I would never recommend this business. read more

The Alteration Shoppe in Grosse Pointe has gone down the tubes since it changed hands. No followup, no dates given when you leave items regarding when they will be ready. No calls when clothing is actually ready. The new owner micromanages everything instead of leaving her highly skilled seamstresses alone to do do the work. Poor communication between the owner and employees. Sad. It used to be a great place. AVOID! read more

New owner asked for cash stating they don't take credit cards (under the table income?). The new seamstress was asked to reinforce silk pillow cases, but each one was sewn in a manner that did absolutely nothing to reinforce it and even left half of the zipper opening untouched. Will be going elsewhere in the future. I know how to sew; I just don't have the time. They are looking for quick and easy money. read more

We dropped a bridesmaid dress off to be shortened and the slit made higher 6 weeks before the needed time. Tried the dress on the day before the wedding and noticed the slit was not made higher. We went back to the Alteration Shoppe and the woman claimed she could not do the work even though she said she would when we brought in. She should have called us so we could take it elsewhere. I will never go to this place again. The service is slow, the seamstress (the Italian one) is rude, unhelpful, and lazy, and half the time the clothes aren't correctly altered. I had two separate occasions with two different seamstresses and the garments were correctly altered or done when they stated they would be. They have no price list posted, and there hours are crummy. Forget this place, I can go to Belding Cleaners pay the same price or a little cheaper, and get the clothes done faster and accurately, as well as deal nicer staff. read more

I brought a suit coat in for a repair. I need it for a funeral on Saturday morning. I came to pick it up 4:30 Friday and they were closed. Now I don't have a suite for the funeral. They could of called to say they were closing early. This is really bad. read more
