Let me start by saying that I'm not a fan of the style that Glitz & Ears has which is why I went with 3 stars and not 4. The name of the store is exactly what the store provides. Glitz and glam is the theme! Lots of bedazzled products right and left that you may need some sunglasses upon entering. The store itself is large and has lots of different products. From costume jewelry, shoes, purses, clothing, and more. This is a perfect store for a homecoming, prom, or other special event and you need some bold and fancy jewelry. I wouldn't say that the store is good for staple pieces or every day wear. As I mentioned the style is very glam. Dare I say it falls on the gaudy side? A few pieces here and there are great to buy, but if you bought every single piece and wore it at once, I think it would be a bit too much and too loud. Again, unless that is your style then go for it! Staff are usually friendly. Their exchange and return policy isn't that great. However, I was able to return a Christmas gift that I received and was able to get store credit on a gift card. They also have a rewards program. But be warned if you pay with a gift card and your out-of-pocket cost isn't high enough, then you can't get loyalty reward points for it. A tiny area is in the back for clearance. They also have dressing rooms to try on clothing. Overall it's a fun store to visit, but depends on your taste and what exactly you are looking to buy. read more

A true mecca for fake bling and sparkle aficionados. Glitz & Ears should be called Sparkles & Sparkles. Everything in the joint shines and blinds. It took me an hour to get Mrs. E out of the place. They have a wonderful 50% off section of shoes, jewelry and whatnot. Yelp also kicks in another 10% off your first purchase at check-in. The young girl working with us was extremely friendly and professional. She definitely has a vast knowledge of the boutique. If you can't find it, she will. It isn't the easiest to find. Get to the 18 mile and Garfield area and use the Yelp directions. The ladies find it cute and inviting. The husbands find it costly. I'm kidding, of course. Mrs. E claims the prices are reasonable. Glitz and Ears is your bling accessories play ground. I don't even know where to begin! When you walk in there are wall to wall earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, basically jewelry galore!! On the right side of the store there are purses and shoes and throughout the store there are clothes, specialty trinkets (like a blinged out pill box, flask, or desk ornament). The staff is very friendly, and they even offer a punch card that entitles you to lots of goodies when you shop at their store. They also will text and email you sales which is very convenient. Really good store. My wife loves bling so this is one of her favorite stores. If it's bling you like, this store has everything you'd want from purses, handbags, clothes and accessories to even masks and shoes. They have nice relaxing music playing and the employees are always very nice and extremely helpful. Hailey S. helped us out this last visit and she was extremely helpful. They are still open during covid 19. They require you to wear a mask in the store and they provide sanitizer at the door when you walk in that you have to use. I am very happy they are following protocols and felt very good and safe walking through the store. The only thing I don't like are the prices but my wife (who the store is for) says they have great prices for what they have, I might just be a cheapskate lol. I first started shopping here for my Prom & Homecoming jewelry back in high school. As I matured, I continued shopping at Glitz for all of my black tie events and music performances. I am a professional wedding singer and model in the MetroDetroit Area; Glitz & Ears ALWAYS has a stunning statement piece when I need it. I've recently started purchasing clothing from Glitz also. I find that the sweaters & shirts I buy are of great quality. And the jeans fit BETTER than any Nordstrom of Express jean I've ever owned. Glitz & Ears also has THE cutest shoes. I just bought a pair of red stiletto heels and wore them to my company Christmas party; I got so many compliments! Even though they did not purchase anythiing when I was with them, I was really impressed with the friendly atmosphere I experienced in Glitz & Ears and, the selections. I stopped by when I was in Michigan this past weekend. Being a guy I was hesitant to go in but my wife wanted me to come in with her. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the staff was. We were greeted immediately with a smile and was asked if they could help us. We will be back in the area in a couple months during the holidays and will definitely stop in for Christmas gifts. Awful customer service !! I recently spent over $200 in this store. One of the sweaters had a huge hole in it that I did not discover until I arrived home. I put it on and cut the tags off. Then I discovered the huge hole under my arm. I literally had it on for 20 seconds, pulled it off and put it back in the bag. When I tried to exchange it two days later, I was told that because I pulled the tags off they would not exchange !! They even said that it had a strong perfume smell and that I had worn it!!!! Seriously!!?? I wanted the same sweater, not a refund! I've spent a lot of money in this store and was planning on spending more tonight for Christmas gifts. Never again. I don't even understand how this place is still open. The sales girls were no help, they didn't even greet me or my mom when we walked into the store, they just looked up for a moment then went back to talking with each other like they were the customers and we were the help. My mom and I both spent A LOT of money buying only a few items. One would think with how expensive the clothes are there they would back their product. I bought a sweater from them to wear for a special occasion, took the tags off and wore it for not even 5 minutes. The gold chain that was attached to the sweater broke off and someone handed a piece to me saying I dropped something. I went home, put it in the bag and went to return it. I was told that I had worn it, it was a discounted item because they were having a store sale the day I bought it and wouldn't exchange or return it. That one sweater was $80, and that was the only item i had issues with. I shop there often and never thought about the return policy until I bought a piece of crap from them. Needless to say, my entire family is so disappointed that they just lost 6 customers because of 1 faulty sweater. I have very mixed feeling about this store. They have very cute, one of a kind clothes here and every time I purchase one of their sweaters or shirts I always get compliments. Prices are reasonable but the quality of a lot of their clothes is not the greatest. My biggest complaint about this store is their return policy! They do not stand behind their merchandise and I don't feel that is good customer service. There have been so many times that I would have purchased twice the amount but didn't because I like to have the option of returning something if it doesn't match what I am buying it for, find something wrong with it or just change my mind. Also I would have bought several things for gifts but once again don't want to take the chance of the item not fitting or the gift receiver just not liking it. I have had nonstop problems over the years with the quality of the jewelry here. Recently, I bought a pair of earrings for a wedding I was a bridesmaid in. I have never been more disappointed! Glitz and Ears used to be my daughter and my favorite store until now. My sister- n- law bought me a hideous sweater from Glitz and Ears for Christmas. I wanted to return it or exchange it so I called first just to make sure, since I read all the other reviews of how difficult it is for other people. I was told that the sweater was final sale on clearance It cannot be returned and I was stuck with it.. It's not my fault that my cheap sister- n -law did this without even thinking that I may have a different taste in clothes than her and not like it. BUYER BEWARE - This store does not provide good customer service when "they" make an error. I was cheated our of $25 from American Express because the manager Jenna did not understand the terms of the promotion ($25 purchase for Small Business Day on the card). I bought $40 in merchandise and paid cash. When I seen the promo with American Express posted I questioned Jenna about it. She said the promotion was for "any" purchase - so I made an additional $14 purchase. She said she did not need to rerun the order that the $14 purchase would meet the promo guidelines. No $25 received from American Express - shocker. I contacted Glitz & Ears and talked with two more managers - Jackie and Adam. No one would right this wrong. Good customer service would be to give me $25 store credit to make up for the $25 I did not receive from American Express due to their employee's error. But NO!!!!!!!! This store has the rudest employees and bad customer service. My suggestion - go to Queen Bee in Rochester - they cater to the customer!!!!! read more
