This church is super cute! Did you know you can bring your own coffee mug and hang it up on the wall, so you can drink coffee with? Also their cream comes in those Super old school milk bottles, glass bottles you see on ranches or in the 1950's. They also have these awesome lights in the auditorium! Their pastor is so cool he has pompadore-ish hair, wears plaid, and converses. The feel of this church is so intimate, and everyone is very casual. Makes me want to put on cowboy boots, a plaid dress, and cowboy a hat. No overdressed, and white hats here! Love it, and it's not a mega church which gives me anxiety. read more

They are a small church. They have several pastors who preach. The population is fairly young. Parking can be challenging at times. I wish they would have a singles group instead of guys only or ladies. How do you find a Christian spouse when groups are not coed. read more

I've been a part of this church family for at least a decade! This place is amazing! The people are authentic and they genuinely love Jesus and want His will for their lives. The atmosphere is cool, laid back and welcoming. We go through the bible chapter by chapter verse by verse so that nothing is misconstrued. Lovely gathering of fellow believers. When you first walk in you will notice this is not your parents' type of church. Decor and setting are trendy and fun. Music is contemporary with songs I did not always know the words to but occasionally have an updated version of an old hymn to blow my mind. Music still brings my soul in fellowship with God and is led by a sweet team of servants. My kids belong to the college age group which is pretty large in relation to church size. We attend the Married Couple bible study and have met really cool peeps. This church just recently went to two services and added a gorgeous area in the back for hanging out. The pastor is a precious fellow who does an outstanding job of relating God's truths to something that is applicable and relevant to almost everyone without diluting, misleading, or confusing. He is definitely filled, led, and anointed with the Holy Spirit. I am grateful to have been led to this place. read more

My little family is newer to the Gilroy area. After much praying and soul searching for a new church to call home, Anchor as it's now called, seems to feel right. We come from a well established church in Saratoga and it's been hard to leave but harder to commit to the commute. Anchor has that small intimate feeling filled with TONS of welcoming people. I have two little ones and they provide children ministry and a nursery. Their nursery needs a little work, but this may be God calling me to help :), but the volunteers that ran it were really great! I also loved that they had a mothers room where I could go with my little ones to nurse and still be able to hear the pastor (although it was hard to see because of what seemed to be television issues). They only have one service which makes It hard for my husband to join us in worship since he works. An earlier option would be such a blessing. They have an adorable wall where you can bring your own coffee mug If you select to call Anchor home. I've been searching for a place to learn, grow and worship in prayer and this so far seems to be it. I loved that they read the bible book by book and will gift you with one if you have yet to own one. Changes are happening from what I hear and they all seem to be very promising.
