There is live music on saturday and sunday. It is essential that you be there early to get a seat. The bar food is reported to be very good and is only served at lunch time. The Door itself is incredible and well worth the visit, but more importantly, this pub is very old school Irish and you will legit feel like you stepped back in time! Terry, the 3rd gen Owens, running it when I came in, was so incredibly gracious to not only share the story behind their door, but shared the amazing family history behind the pub including his grandfather who started it! The building it is in was built in 1852 as well...so if you are a history nerd like me, you will love it for that fact alone! They have a great draught beer selection and I was so happy to grab a very reasonably priced pint and sit in front of the fireplace (yes, they have a fireplace!) on a very chilly Limavady evening and chat w/some of locals. We ordered beef fajitas, seeing a couple of tex-mex entrees on the menu. After traveling for several weeks we were hungry for some tex-mex food. We assumed someone in the kitchen knew how to make such dishes. Huge mistake. The fajitas consisted of small slices of beef swimming in a gloppy sort of Chinese Chili Sauce. There were no sides other than some 'cream' that was more like soft whipped cream than sour cream. No pico de gallo, no guacamole. The meat was not grilled. This was a pretty dismal meal and not cheap. Stick with fish and chips.
