My wedding was in 2024 at the old Arbor Loft location. Working with Erica was absolutely wonderful--she was kind, attentive, and truly cared about my wedding. The venue itself was beautiful, and some of the staff members we encountered were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, despite these positives, my overall experience left me feeling disappointed and stressed. At our final meeting, all of my carefully planned details were simply handed off to someone else who did not seem invested in my day. Half of my bridal party had never been in a wedding before, and despite asking multiple times, we were unable to secure a proper rehearsal time. We later learned this was because another event was booked that night. Our "rehearsal" ended up being squeezed into the bridal suite, which was chaotic. On top of that, another bridal party was scheduled to rehearse in our space at 1:00 p.m.--just two and a half hours before my guests were to arrive at 3:30. It was very stressful and did not feel like the focus was on our wedding. The morning of our wedding, I decorated everything with the help of one friend, only to have one of my bridesmaids rush in to tell me that another bridal party was practicing in the same space we had paid for and spent all morning decorating. The new woman in charge of the wedding (I never learned her name) Came to me and asked "what my problem was" When I asked about it, I was told, "Sorry, this is just how we do things here." That response left me feeling like my day wasn't valued. I also spent the night before carefully labeling bins and creating spreadsheets for the staff as they requested. Despite this, my belongings were returned completely disorganized--items were put in the wrong bins, frames were broken, and irreplaceable family photos were damaged. I had also rented flowers from Something Borrowed Blooms and specifically reminded the staff they were rentals that needed to be returned. Instead, they were placed in buckets of water--even though they were artificial--and I was later charged for them. I've been hesitant to leave this review because I wanted to move on and focus on the good memories of my wedding day. However, I feel future brides should be aware. While Erica was wonderful to work with, and the venue was undeniably beautiful, the way key details were handled was very disheartening. read more

The Arbor Loft was hands down the best decision we made in terms of vendors for our wedding. From the beginning at the inquiry stage, they responded quickly and gave us all the information in a digestible manner. The loft itself is a beautiful space. It's a venue where you can decorate as much or as little as you'd like. The exposed white brick, the huge industrial windows, the perfectly appointed greenery that's already there and the adorable trendy modern furniture all make a great setting for whatever the event. The bridal and groomsman suites are amazing!! There's a photo opportunity at every corner. I loved how all my photos turned out! The Arbor Loft staff are just wonderful. We worked with Maddy first who got us to the contracts stage. She was super helpful and responded to all of our lengthy contract review comments. Then we worked with Carly all the way up until the wedding day. I cannot express how thankful we were to Carly. She responded to every email we had in less than 48 hours (I cannot say that for any of my other vendors). No matter how small or big the list of questions were, we got an answer. As a stressed out and type A bride, I can't even begin to stress the importance of receiving an answer in a reasonable timeframe. Unless you do one of their planner packages, it's important to note the Arbor Loft is not your wedding planner. They are very good however at asking the questions that make sure you are on track and have the minimum you need for a wedding day. On the day itself we worked with Autumn. She was so calming and even helped me with a fussy bustle that none of my bridesmaids can figure out. I would not have been able to do my first dance without her! For catering we used the Loft's Folk catering. They had such an interesting menu and we received such good feedback on the food. One of my picky friends event complimented on the dinner. They presented the buffet beautifully. For late night we picked a couple pizzas from swan dive, which delivered straight to the venue. This was the best food item for me on the day. The vegan pizza was soooooo delicious and I was grateful for the extra food since I didn't eat much during the day. Since Folk and Swan Dive were associated with the loft, everything was on one invoice and it was so easy when it came to settling the bill. Carly also kept us on track with payments which we were so grateful for. At the end of the wedding, the staff packed up all of our decorations for us based on an inventory list which was so helpful!! Especially when you're exhausted at the end of the night! Some tips for anyone engaged and getting married at the Loft. Attend one of their open houses. It's super helpful to see the types of furniture, linens, and rentals they offer. Don't buy anything that the loft can provide either for free or a reasonable price. The open house also gives you the vibe of when there are people there. You can also sample food from one of their caterers. And it's free! Take advantage of the furniture that's in the loft already. They have really cute lounge pieces that you can use for a photo op. Use the greenery they have in the space. All of these items can be moved to wherever you want if you just ask. The bridal suite is huge and a lovely space to get ready, use it. One suggestion I have for the loft is to have a bar sampling night. We did not get to taste test any of the drinks they offered for signature cocktails or any of their other alcohols. I'm sure they did a great job with the open bar but I think a drinks night will be super fun for everyone. I absolutely will recommend working with the Arbor Loft team at any of their locations. SO grateful for the Arbor Loft team and all that they did to make my sisters Bridal Shower such a success! The entire crew of event planners are logistic goddesses and made sure every detail of the shower was taken care of. We had about 80 people in attendance for our event and each of them were so pleased with every element. We did a consumption bar and offered mimosas for our guests, which is a less expensive alternative to an open bar or some other configuration. There was a wedding the night before and the staff saved flowers for us, helping to make the space even more beautiful. In terms of parking, our event was held during Jazz Fest and none of our guests seemed to have any issues. We put a graphic on the invite detailing where to park and how to cross the street from the NYSUT lot. They have new signage making it easy to find and an elevator to make it accessible for your guests. I don't even know where to begin. From the second we stepped into The Arbor Loft we were in love! Every member of the team was helpful, knowledgeable, caring, and genuine. Over the course of the year they were attentive and made you feel like you were the only priority they had. I can't thank Erika and her team (Maddy, Carly and more!) enough for making our wedding day perfect and seamless. Any brides out there- hire Erika for your day of coordination, you will not regret it!!!! We looked at A TON of wedding venues. And we are not from Rochester! Ah...The Arbor Loft.. this can space can be transformed into the event of your dreams. I could see someone of Colin Cowie caliber going for it seriously and doing it up.. this is what I would like to see a COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION. But you can have a hell of a good time making this space your own see the photos on the site. This space what you can do there basically is no limits. Now I've been here for Yoga, Becoming Boss, La Femme Expo and The Battle of the Brunches with the Jr League of Rochester. Each event different but it always had a slightly different feel. It's above Harts Local Grocery. They have their own entrance, an elevator to go up to the second floor (stairs too) and a walk down to the venue. It's light and airy, now listen it's in a converted building the floors are wood it's a massive space. Now some have said it gets too hot or too cold or whatever... it's like anything it's all about asking questions and if you have issues the owner Agathi is more than accommodating to answer if not her she has an assistant. It's all about what you want to do... now the only slight issue is this.. Parking now you cannot park at Harts or 2Vine it's either street parking or they will have a sign up for an event letting you know you can park st the NYS Teachers Retirement Systems Building. Ok yea it's a pain but it could be worse.. now for the short term if you park across from the venue at the retirement systems lot you have to basically walk thru the finishing off of the inner loop it is what it is.. it's short term. Do what I do cause I get all high maintenance have someone drop you off at the front door. Problem solved.. when the inner loop is finally finished no worries. Now I have solutions for you kids... Now I hear... maybe sometime soon roof access?! You never know.. it would light this place up and everyone would want an event here. I'm guessing food wise for a wedding you would have to bring food and etc in you are using the space. If you ever have a chance to come here check it out for yourself and let me know what you think. If you want a blank canvas where you can create a really custom-designed event, then the Arbor Loft is just what you are looking for. It is a big room with white walls and windows. It needs a lot of decoration for it to feel special, but it could be made absolutely incredible with the right design. The room is shaped in a way that you could easily customize the size or hold part of an event in one area and another part in another area (dance floor on one side, dinner seating on the other side). However, without the right decorations it looks like fancy tables in a plain room. My one-star rating has more to do with the owner and her lack of professionalism. I had a contract with her to do an off-site wedding before she opened the space but then once she opened the space she weaseled out of the contract because she would rather focus on her own space than something she had previously committed to. She returned the deposit and lined up another wedding planner for us to use and there was plenty of time to make arrangements so it wasn't too detrimental to our wedding. However, what I find the most problematic is that she didn't tell us to our face that she was backing out, rather she sent an email less than 48 hours after meeting with her in person. I've heard of other people having other contract issues as well. A friend's sister was one of the early weddings at the Arbor Loft and according to the friend, the owner tried to back out of some of the "extras" that were promised for free, such as lighting, etc. Luckily the friend is a lawyer and able to put pressure to make sure those things were included as promised. Maybe the kinks have been worked out but it's definitely a buyer beware type situation. read more

I attended the Honest Folk Pop-up Concert tonight at the Arbor Loft and was so pleased with the atmosphere. The acoustics were nice and the band was great! The owner and her staff were friendly, poised and professional. I've heard nothing but great things about the Arbor Loft before attending tonights concert and it certainly exceeded my expectations. read more

This is an event space with potential. What I found most impressive is how they are able to transform a simple space into something unique for any event. I could see smaller weddings really enjoying the space, but with pillars and the bar in the middle of the room, anything larger and you'll find the space disjointed. I most recently attended an expo, this worked very well allowing one side to feature vendors and one side to host the food and beverage. I suppose my biggest concern is parking. The venue does not have a lot as Hart's & 2Vine are the technical owners of the lot the building is adjacent to... luckily my parallel parking skills are pretty killed so I only wound up a block away from the entrance. My final thoughts? Consider this space for a wedding or formal event, you will not be disappointed by what Agathi and her team will create for you... but also consider offering a shuttle bus! read more

My fiance and I are getting married at the Arbor Loft next spring and I could not be more excited. When I first heard about the opening of this space and saw some pictures, I just knew that I would fall in love. I had since gone to a few events there and my love continued to grow. Parking- I have seen some reviews addressing the parking situation and honestly? It's really not that bad. They own the entire lot that's directly across the street from the Loft. It's a quick walk right over the now de-constructed inner loop, but it was not awful and there are plans to build up that area anyways. My friend and I didn't know what to expect when we first ever came to an event there and how the parking was going to be but we were both pleasantly surprised that it was no big deal at all. The building itself is easily accessible, and there's either an elevator or stairs that bring you up to the Loft. When you approach the space, you're welcomed with the cutest teal doors. The space itself is just beautiful. There's large windows lining two of the main walls, pretty drapery that allows for you to section off the Loft in different ways, a chic little bar set up, and even a lounge space that spills out into the hallway. With it's white, exposed brick walls it's really a wonderful blank slate for any event. When my fiance and I decided to have our wedding here, they were very open about giving tours of the space, allowing us to invite friends or family to come see it if we wanted, and have kept in close communication ever since. They get back to you quickly, offer their own advice and insight when needed and cater towards your wants and needs for what your day wants to look like. Hiccups are bound to happen in event planning- and my fiance and I did run into that at one point with the owner. There was a huge miscommunication among her and her team members and we were promised something that she then had to go back on. BUT my fiance and I were very pleased with how this was handled. After meeting in person and addressing our concerns, the owner dealt with the issue very professionally and with genuineness and kindness. As a result, she compensated us fairly after the miscommunication which was something she didn't have to do, but shows her integrity as a business owner! Overall, it's been a very pleasing and fun experience to work with the girls at the Arbor Loft. They are super friendly, fun and really invest an interest in you and what you want. I cannot wait to continue planning my wedding with them and utilizing this pretty venue! read more

The Arbor Loft is one of the best venues I've ever come across. I came as my boyfriends plus one and was so pleased with the space. It has a unique, rustic theme to it which made the wedding very enjoyable. The service was outstanding and the owner, (I think Agitha is her name?) was so pleasant! Really cool location. I went there for a donut brunch and the food and cocktails we're really delicious. Parking can be tough so if you're going to an event that is on a weekend make sure you get there early enough for a good spot. The Hart's parking lot discourages Arbor Loft Parker's. read more

We used the Arbor Loft for our July 2018 wedding with 140 people. It was an incredible experience, and we are SO happy we picked this venue. We worked with Laura, one of the planners available at the venue, as our Day of Coordinator and she was an absolute dream! We were an out of town client, but my mom and dad are local. Laura graciously took them on several tours (with us on FaceTime!) and communicated with us incredibly helpfully over the phone/via email. Laura responded to texts and emails within 15 minutes (I swear) and was full of such great advice about vendors, logistics, and pretty much ANYTHING a bride might wonder about. I had a huge last minute vendor crisis, and she had it solved in about an hour. She was so kind and patient with us, and truly seemed to share in the joy of our planning experience, rather than just going through the motions. We had a LOT of moving pieces and vendors from all over the place, and Laura was terrific at coordinating with all of them. She was professional, prompt, and great at capturing details we'd need to remember later. She also was incredibly flexible with some very wonky requests we had, and truly came from a place of, "Let me make this their very best day." We are so appreciative!! On the day of, Laura was the ultimate manager of all the details - everything went off without a hitch, and she had a huge smile on her face while tackling it all. She's the sort of person who makes you feel like everything is under control, which is exactly what you want amidst a major event. The venue itself is gorgeous - bright, airy, comfortable temperature, clean, and super well-maintained. The bar functioned wonderfully, we were allowed to decorate to our heart's content, and parking was not an issue with the valet. All in all, we feel so lucky to have found the Arbor Loft and would gladly work with their team again! read more

Last night, I was lucky enough to have had a surprise 30th birthday party hosted at the Arbor Loft by my family and friends. The space is absolutely breathtaking. We didn't end up needing half of it, so they put up a tasteful divider to hide the unused space. It's huge! And a picture-perfect setting for a wedding. The staff was AMAZING. They worked with my boyfriend MONTHS in advance to secretly plan out how they were going to pull off the surprise and they were in on everything, helping every step of the way (great acting, everyone, haha!). They were SO accommodating throughout the entire night and were pleasant and helpful to all guests. I cannot say enough great things about the night. My daughter had her wedding at The Arbor Loft in September. I can't say enough about how great Agathi, Laura and their team are. When we first met with Agathi, we knew right away that this is where we wanted to have the wedding. She is very personable. My daughter lives out of town, but Agathi and Laura were always available for phone calls and planning purposes. Although there were a lot of people helping on the big day, Laura was exceptional in keeping things organized. We had almost 200 people, 8 bridesmaids and groomsmen. She made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, including the ceremony which was at a different location. I would recommend The Arbor Loft 100% to anyone looking for a wedding venue. read more
