We had the pleasure of visiting The Alexander to celebrate our friends' wedding, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! Chaz, Rico, and the rest of the staff were so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They truly made us feel taken care of throughout the evening. The food was phenomenal. My personal favorites were the artichokes and the Peach Chutney Ricotta Sourdough, which was absolutely delicious! Rico also made me an amazing blackberry mojito, and my husband's cocktail was so tasty too! The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully designed, making it the perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion. They hosted a friends dinner and it was wonderful! The food was great and so was the service!

I had a lovely time at the Alexander restaurant. I came on a Thursday night with a group of six and you didn't make a reservation. However, the restaurant was pretty empty. Service was friendly and the weight staff checked on us a lot. I ordered the Caesar salad with french fries the garlic stuffed bread, and we tried to the spiritless cocktails on the menu. The food was delicious and I have no complaints there. However, the spiritless cocktails left a lot to be desired. I would probably come back here again. read more

Wow! They have really revamped this place since it changed from Ox and Stone to The Alexander. We came for drinks and apps. I was pleasantly surprised to see how the inside has changed--it seems so much more spacious now. It's currently decorated with holiday lights so it has a cozy yet sophisticated vibe. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We got the cheesy pull apart bread which was flavorful and had a great texture. We also got the mussels which were served in an incredible sauce. The good: this is a beautiful restaurant, the drinks and appetizers were very good, the ribeye, salmon, and eggplant plant meatballs were tasty. Desserts were also very good. The server was friendly. The bad: they were woefully understaffed. It seems like there was one server for the entire restaurant including two large parties. Ours was one of those parties. Our reservation was at 6:15. We were seated quickly but did not see a server for at least 30 minutes after. It took at least another 30 minutes to get half of our drinks, another 15 to get the other half, and another 30 to get appetizers. When our main dishes came out, some were not very hot, the crab fried rice was missing crab, but the rest of the dishes were good. After appetizers, dinner and dessert we left the restaurant about 2.5 hours after arriving. I'd try this restaurant again because the food and drinks were good but it's probably best to go with a smaller party. read more

The precious ox and stone had been transformed into a more airy, bright space both upstairs and down at the bar There is a massive space for larger crowds if you want to host an event I thought the food was exceptional and dare I say this is my new favorite Swan family restaurant! read more

The newest reincarnation of 282 Alexander. IYKYK. The building is still beautiful, the decor is absolutely perfect. Our server Rory was great; that great mix of professional without the arrogance. We walked through the cocktails offering, great mix and section. We'll done by the bartender. We opted for a bunch of small plates. Beets salad was wonder, the black and white sesame seeds were next level. Crispy Artichokes favorite. Burrata yummy. Pickles and Olives...loved the zing. And we went for the Birrara Quesadillas and they were exceptionally done. We ended with the Cara Cara Posset. Excellent ending. read more

Wow! This place has amazing potential. We walked in just to check it out. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some creative cocktails and amazing appetizers. We came in just for a drink and ended up staying as we enjoyed the great food and vibe we experienced. Tony the bartender was fantastic. We enjoyed a couple of appetizers at the bar. They were so good that we actually ended up ordering a couple of main dishes to share as we were intrigued to experiment further. The Macaroni & Cheese was an unanticipated home run. It is uniquely created and served. The macaroni is backed vertically in a pan and served in squares. Robust flavor without weighing you down. I will order it on every future visit to see the reaction from friends. Typically I am not a fettuccine fan as so often it is served Alfredo style and then you need to be rolled out of a restaurant. We ordered the fettuccine dish to share and it was amazing. So flavorful yet light. I don't know how they do it but I was certainly a fan. We also tried the rigatoni with vodka sauce which was two thumbs up. We met Joe who happened to be there for an event he set up. He was a pleasure to meet and gave us a tour of the venue with changes they incorporated to showcase "The Alexander". We were so pleased with the staff, food, cocktails and Venue that we decided to book this for our son's rehearsal dinner. We know that our close family and friends will be as impressed as we were. Wonderful Customer Service ! Took mom here for her Birthday!! She enjoyed the steak. I enjoyed the muscles and my sisters enjoyed the salmon and burger. We had a little encounter with an invited guest, but won't let it take away from the amazing customer service and hospitality your team provided. Great place to stop by, enjoy a few drinks grab some grub. Very affordable nothing in this place is above $30 with the exception of the steak $52.00 which fit the quality and size not bad, the drinks are all about $14 each for 4 of us? $238 with $50 tip. 10/10 recommend . We had a 12 person group, the apps and drinks were great! Service was good and they have a great atmosphere. The results for dinner were mixed. Salmon, very good. The renovation to this restaurant is very current & on trend. It's classic and pleasant (the music is a bit loud, but not unbearable). The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The owner was present and making thoughtful rounds. Now into the good stuff, the FOOD! The drinks were well balanced & delicious. It appears they are making a lot of elements from hand. The Mac and cheese was completely unexpected, like nothing I've ever had. 11/10! The pull apart bread was a generous size, seasoned perfectly and full of garlic. The potato's & carrots were amazing, I could eat just sides here and be in heaven. My mother really enjoyed the pork chop. The key lime desert was so light, but also rich and satisfying. The only thing I didn't LOVE was the night owl Cocktail, while it was delicious it was super strong! I felt like if it had a light cream element (heavy cream? My daughter is looking for a wedding venue and decided to explore The Alexander. We met with the events coordinator a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with what they had to offer. He decided to go there for dinner to check out the food and the service food cocktails everything was outstanding will definitely consider this and even if my daughter doesn't have her wedding here, we will certainly frequent The Alexander for dinner. The appetizers were amazing and we tried most of the. Our server recommended the burrata and "grown-up chicken fingers" which were both outstanding. The Alexander and Hugo Spritz were the table favorites for cocktails, but I also liked the fact they had craft beer on draft too. I never thought someone could take a simple pork chop to the next level. I honestly think I'll never order pork chop except whenever we re back here. So didn't have a reservation. Tried telling the hostess but she was not listening. Strange interaction she was all positivity to then dash our hopes with there are no tables. Told we could sit at the bar. I said we will sit at the bar. I stood there. She stood there. I had to ask "do we just go and sit at the bar". She says yes. How the f should I know I can just go to the bar in what looks like a nice place. Give some marching orders direct people appropriately learn some service. Sat at bar ordered charcuterie. Meat tasted like refrigerator. 2 meats that were the same or really really similar. Crumbled cheese tasted funny especially with all the pickled veg and olives seeping into it. Worst charcuterie board in many years. Crispy smashed potatoes...how can you mess this up? The sauce has no place being on that. We cancelled the burger to cut our losses. Establishment has a very lazy menu ...is this place fine dining? It doesn't know what it is. Get a new chef with a good menu. Bartender asked us a question while I was speaking to my wife. I was speaking to my wife I am not going to acknowledge your interruption. Servers and bartenders learn timing. It's called service industry not the you industry.
