The venue is a farm, so someone going for a strong rustic/barn theme will appreciate the red barn, cowboy boot flower pots, and wagon. The layout inside is spectacular with a kitchen and a circle guests can walk around for food instead of clogging the sitting area. Bridal suite and groom suite are in the barn, which I wasn't a huge fan of since anyone could just walk in during events taking place in the barn (say a reception). Additionally, furniture in the suites was very outdated. There is a spacious loft area. Some tables and chairs are currently available (not enough for more than ~50 people), but we were told that prices would probably increase soon and more chairs and tables (enough for groups up to ~150) would be included. The grounds were gorgeous, but it is a farm, so the smell of horses shouldn't be a surprise. If you are looking at MW for an outdoor wedding ceremony, there are several places on the grounds that are perfect for it and a covered pavilian as a plan b for rain.

I approached him with the idea of having music playing in two separate places at the wedding venue, and instead of turning me down, Brandon purchased new equipment to accommodate the request. The version of our first dance song that we wanted to use was from a television show and he was able to edit out the talking and background noise to make it work for us. Since we were having a small, 9-person wedding (including 1 vegetarian), we wanted to hire a…read morepersonal chef for our rehearsal dinner and wedding (+ bartender/waiter for the wedding). We reached out to Chef Joe DiMaio from Chainey Briar Chef Solutions (and a few other companies) after reading the Post & Courier article that highlighted local chefs in the Charleston area. What immediately stood out to us about Chainey Briar compared to the other companies was Joe's responsiveness and professionalism. He was happy to get on a call with us to get a feel for our palate, and gave us some sample menus that we could use as a jumping-off point since we weren't initially sure what we wanted. He created a completely custom menu for both dinners, and was happy to accommodate any changes we requested. He incorporated a version for vegetarian guest for each course. While he will typically serve his meals on bamboo dishware, we wanted to rent tableware for our wedding. He helped us determine what size plates to rent, as well as how much of each type of silverware we would need. He also assisted us with the schedule/timing of how long we would need to anticipate for each course during the wedding. During both the dinners, Chef Joe was a MACHINE at getting the courses prepared and served. His level of organization and efficiency is unmatched, and everything was served on time. Chef Joe also helped us cut the wedding cake that we brought separately. For our wedding dinner, we also wanted to have a bartender/waiter, so Joe brought a trusted assistant that he had worked with before (Mike). Mike was phenomenal: he surprised my husband with a set of glassware that I had bought for him by discreetly making drinks in them and serving them to us. He also managed to make the drinks better than the recipes I provided - I can't replicate how well he made them! Now for the most important part - THE FOOD! Everything was insanely delicious and sizably portioned. My husband said he felt like he was being fed like a foie gras duck after our 5th course... but it was our 5th course. ;) NO ONE went hungry those nights! All in all - we would hire Chainey Briar Chef Solutions again in a heartbeat. Joe and his team exceeded our expectations in every way and I absolutely would recommend him to anyone!

After a 30 min phone call and multiple emails discussing our menu plan, he cancelled on me out of the blue because he said he thought I was "unresponsive". It took me 2.5 days to respond to an email from him. Don't depend on him not to cancel on you! Especially if you're planning an event for a group.

He really goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are happy and enjoying their time on their wedding day. He took the time to go over the pronunciation of everyone's names before announcing them, triple-checked with us on what music to play and not to play, and managed to keep my first dance song a secret from me since my husband wanted to surprise me with it. The best example of him going above and beyond, though, was something I learned about after my wedding ended. During our cocktail hour, it started downpouring really, really hard. To the point where a tent gutter collapsed. Instead of waiting on someone else to come fix it, Jay grabbed a chair and started re-attaching it. (My wedding coordinator jumped in as soon as she saw it, for what that's worth.) He didn't HAVE to do that -- the rain and busted tent gutter wasn't impacting him, really -- but he wanted us to have a great wedding day without any issues. So, he pitched in where others maybe wouldn't have to get the tent fixed. Jay's top-notch. I highly recommend him and his services for any wedding or event music needs.

She was very pleasant and instructed the old home the store occupies has many rooms filled with bought and homemade items and stated she has some vendors. The prices were very reasonable. unfortunately, I had something very specific I was looking for and did not find it this time but I certainly will be back when I am in the area.
