Good Variety of Dishes (MANILA Philippines)…read more Cafe Belmont is located inside the Belmont Hotel. Breakfast/Brunch is served between 6:00a to 10:00a and is complimentary if you're staying in the hotel. The line can get long at times depending on how many guests that particular day. Breakfast can have a variety of many choices between American and Filipino food. They have an omelette/egg station and also serve bacon, sausage, waffles and pancakes, donuts and cereal and could also have dilis mixed in with the others. The middle section are dishes ranging from pansit, roasted chicken, beef stew, baked bangus on any given day... yes, beginning at 6:00a you could be eating lunch LoL! They also have Filipino desserts. We also used the Cafe to entertain our family guests who came to visit us during dinner. For this we had different menus and we paid like we would do in a regular restaurant. The ambiance is always busy. The staff here are very friendly and polite. You will always hear a "Good Morning, sir or ma'am, as they greet you. We would see flight attendants of Cebu Pacific stay and dine here sometimes also. Review #3286

Decent value for the price, but hit-or-miss food and service…read more We visited on a Monday evening for dinner. For the price we paid, the experience was okay, but it definitely had some hits and misses. The Food: The selection includes cooked dishes, sushi, and desserts. The customized, personalized seafood station was a great touch, though the Singapore chili style wasn't available during our visit. The pasta and roast meats (beef/pork) were decent. However, several items fell short: the sushi was forgettable, the laksa missed the mark, the siew mai was served lukewarm, and the prawn tempura was very small. For dessert, many of the cakes tasted identical, though a few did stand out. Service & Atmosphere: The service was inconsistent. While some staff members were friendly, others avoided eye contact--perhaps their top-tier team takes Mondays off. On the plus side, the restaurant was only about 25% full, making it quiet and excellent for conversation. Good to Know: Drinks: Beer and wine cost extra from Monday to Thursday. Friday to Sunday rates are higher, but alcohol is included. Parking: Free parking is available; just remember to ask the front desk for a validation coupon. Visit was paid by our office. Hence it was OK for 3/5 stars. Might give it 2 if I was paying. Would be interesting to see what they have for weekends.

I must say, the place is in the Sheraton Hotel near terminal 3 airport and. it is. a fancy hotel…read more The cost for dinner buffet is 3,200 pesos without any discount. Pretty steep I say for the food showcased, however, with the discounts we received, it was justly priced. Food - it is an array of food, your palette will be satisfied however and whatever you fancy. There is a salad bar, seafood bar - have it cooked your way. I chose buttered garlic flavored on shromp, mussels and 'alimasag' crabs. A bit messy to eat but if that's your craving, go for it. There is an Asian noodle place. Have your pho or 'pancit'.... They have a street food bar as well. Chicken feet, chicken liver bbq, fishballs...to mention a few. They have a juice and coffee bar, mind. you. the soda is not included in the buffet. I paid 290 pesos for a glass of coke, unworthy for me. Service - other than the receptionist. who seated us, the servers are barely coming by to ask if everything went well with your dinner. Probably because it was a buffet? but still, it would be nice if they are readily available when we have questions. Overall - I'm still looking forward to other buffet areas of metro manila.

Crispy Pata- The star of the meal and I would challenge you to find a place that does it better. This place does this one dish better Manam's, Max's, Gilligan's, etc... They sous vide their crispy pata which makes it moist whereas traditionally when it is boiled and then fried, the meat edges end up dried out/over fried in spots. This was tender and juicy all over with chip crisp skin! Oyster sisig- we fell in love with this dish in Boracay at Two Seasons Hotel which still holds the title for best version. Lumu's version is Different but still good. They bread their oysters then bring it out in the sizzling plate with the Mayo/aioli sauce served with rice. Great sisig flavor. Lumpia- solid. Halo Halo - it was huge! Monstrous big with great ingredients for the price. My only complaint was the ice wasn't as finely shaved so it ended up clumping a lot. But for the value and quality of ingredients, it was great! Quality is a notch above Max's but not at the level of the Shangri La or even some of the upscale restaurants. Still solid tho and costs way less. Service was great per usual in Philippines
