And I am thinking, "Really I don't always look like this, sometimes I dress like I am rich as shit, so there!" And it is all just wretched? All City is really cool, and I had no business being in that shop. I know this, because as soon as I stepped inside and began perusing the little plastic Japanese collectible toys that are all bright colors and bulbous rounded edges, the hand spray painted shirts, the rainbow of paints and markers and the, more foreign of all, the extensive collection of hip-hop, disco, electronic etc vinyl, I knew I had no idea what I would do with any of it. Second of all, the staff didn't even bother to acknowledge I, a human being, had entered the shop. I kept looking at him to see if he would look up and smile, but no. Maybe dorks are invisible. Anyway, I wanted to know what I was doing in there but I didn't. For any street artist or dj, it would be awesome. They probably get a cool "hey" from the guy who works there. Bah.

The cheapest and best quality spray paints can be bought at All City and they also have a lot of markers and good graffiti books plus vinyl toys and good hip hop and dubstep records - everything that someone interested into everything street would enjoy.You can pre-order everything online so it can be in store for you the next day. The Annual All City Jam is on every year in April where graffiti artists, DJ's and b-boys come together for a great weekend. If you're lucky, you might be able to nab a freebie or two in All City coming up to the jam. The staff are usually friendly with those they know well - graff artists and dj's that is.

I placed an order with Cara Crafts on Tuesday 27th November and today when I checked their site to…read moreview the status of my order I saw that it was still pending. There was a message at the top of my order stating "Your Order Will Be Completed When Payment Has Been Verified. Please Check You Order Status Regularly For Changes." I can't understand why my payment should be still unverified as I used my debit card to pay for it and the money was debited to my account as soon as I placed the order. I sent two emails which came bouncing back at me so I used another email address and sent a third email as well as an email through their site. I also included my phone number but so far Cara Crafts hasn't had the courtesy to respond to any of my messages. I have instructed them to refund my payment and needless to say, I will not be shopping with them in the future.

They have everything from poster paints to face paints, model airplane sets to mala (plasticine to some) and everything in between. I sometimes attempt to make birthday cards myself so the Art & Hobby shop is great for fancy pens, markers, stickers, feathers, bobbles and bits that make my home-made cards look almost like I hope they would. Great for kids, big and little!

The place was also very cluttered, moving items stacked on top of what I wanted. Also another brand of the same product was on a completely different shelf behind me, which I found out after checking with staff. Final woo of my visit was the Staff member couldn't advise which brand was better. "Um, they're just different brands?". Shambolic and hard work. Getting a customer to part with their money should be made as easy as possible by a business. Only for I had been I'd been hunting for what I was after for the past two weeks did I stick at it here. Oh and one star for finding what I was after (ink pads, yay).

And it's a good thing that they have this space on rainy days like today. The shop was very crowded on this Thursday afternoon and I was pleased to find out that some items were within my price range. What attracted me the most was the glass fusion jewellery by Deirdre Griffin. Griffin makes some really pretty pieces that are simple and colourful. A chunky ring goes for 15 or 20 euro while a pendant is more dear (30 euro). Besides jewellery, you can get some great decorative furniture. There was a log seat that was sanded down and cut into a cub that was selling for a whopping 400 euro. It was beautiful but sadly I don't have the cash to buy it.
