I've been hoping to nurture my creative side and doing it while drinking might help get my juices flowing. Their website boasts a whole array of paintings, there are pretty landscapes, rustic designs and some fun and festive ones, priced around $25-45 each depending on the length and difficulties. I saw a few more challenging ones that I'm very interested to satisfy my type-A personality. There's also one that you can install some lights to shine through the canvas. I'm definitely going to sign up for that. Since it's a BYOB, we went to buy two bottle of wines, dressed up in our costumes and headed out to check this out. It was located in an unassuming strip mall on Nazareth Pike. We were met with very pleasant staff who dressed as zombies and zombie hunter while assuring us that they usually look more normal, ha! The manager painted himself as Vincent Van Gogh' self portrait, I thought to myself that we were in for a creative night. The painting itself was a gloomy zombie walk in a grave yard. It lends itself to some fun shadow work. The host taught us how to paint it step by step with funny anecdotes and games in between while we refill our wine glass every now and then. Two hours flew by and everyone finished their paintings on time. I think we all left satisfied. My other friends later saw my handiwork and commented on it and I think we'll come back to try other ones. What a fun hobby to pick up!

Now that that's out of the way, you'll use precut glass from a huge selection of colors, sizes and textures on a glass bases to make designs that are fused in a kiln. The many options for bases include an ashtray, menorah, picture frame, plates or larger tray. Other more advanced options include weaving colors together and wind charms. Each station has a glass cutter and pliers so you can shape the precut glass. Either goggles or just wearing you're glasses is required. Just like there's a saying about ice skating that no matter what, ice is slippery, glass is sharp and can cut although I saw no wounds in my class. Using a bit of glue, you anchor down your design in the base. Then it is fused in a kiln. In addition to just creating your design, realistic or abstract, you can use templates that are provided. The very friendly and knowledgeable instructors give an overview of the process as well as help out people along the way. It's fun, creative and fairly priced. Truly a good experience.

They have a large variety of glass projects you can work on, ranging from inexpensive (nightlight, small picture frame) to expensive (large plates) items. I chose to make a nursery room nightlight for my first ever project. They also have a huge range or opaque and translucent glass colors to work with. I was so thrilled by my end result and love passing my nursery to look at it!
