And they have quite a large variety of whites, reds, and roses too. Cindy, one of the owners, is so very friendly and helpful. She will go through an entire tasting with you with the highest level of patience, allowing you to taste and try anything you'd like to. Arthur was the live music for the day and he played a great variety of songs (acoustic guitar). The wine is fantastic. I do not know a lot about wine, but I do know that each one we tasted (6) was very easy to drink. We shared a bottle there and I brought 2 home. Bonus: you can bring your own snacks (no beverages). I love this. I enjoy planning my own winery snacks. I was bummed when many wineries quit allowing food because they opened kitchens. So if I have to pay $30+ for food. I'm buying less wine. She is always serving up fresh cooked tortilla chips and several of her best homemade salsas. Plus live music. It's worth it to check it out. Some vendors are on and off weeks. For those that don't know, Bob Kuban's group had a few singles make the Billboard chart, but they will always be remembered for their big hit, "The Cheater". In fact, they are on the permanent exhibit of "One Hit Wonders" at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland. Lead singer Walter Scott may be long gone, but Kuban and his band can still provide many great times at any event. I saw them live at a couple occasions, and they were telling stories between songs (which I enjoy). They also perform many covers, and I have a couple of their CDs as well. We had bought a membership for the Missouri Botanical Garden, and the butterfly house was included!…read moreOf course we wanted to check it out, but didn't realize how busy it was because apparently it's field trip season. It was still a fun experience, but not as chill as I hoped it would be. The front desk did let us know other days to try again if we wanted a more peaceful time lol. Anyway, they do not just house butterflies here. They got BUGS. Icky bugs and icky roaches and my son LOVED it. Luckily the icky bugs are behind glass and that is not very interactive lol. The actual butterfly house limits how many people can go in which is nice because once you get in, you are surrounded by butterflies. They will REALLY fly across your face and land on you if they choose. The staff recommends to walk slowly and to be mindful of your movements for the safety of the butterflies. It was such a beautiful area! I'd love to come back again. I think my son liked it, but he liked the icky bugs more lol.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is within a park that also has a playground and carousel. Outside are oversized sculptures of a butterfly and a caterpillar (kids can crawl through it). Once inside, there were educational exhibits with insects. We did not have to wait long at all to enter the butterfly area. There were lots of butterflies compared to other butterfly houses that I have visited. You could walk slowly through, or sit down, and they flew around or sometimes landed on you. The inside is very warm with lots of tropical plants and gorgeous flowers. There is also a gift shop, but some of the items are pricey (we did get a magnet as a souvenir).
