Fantastic! The Salt Cellar Workshops is based in an historic building on the Porthleven harbour side, originally built in 1816 to store produce including salt brought in by Norwegian ships, it is a fascinating melting pot of creative local talents. This shop has seen some real peaks and troughs over the last decade or so. The first real triumph…read morewould have been when new owners bought the places near the beginning of the millenium. They made such a difference to the quality of a visitor's experience when visiting Boscastle, with improved stock, wonderful staff, and superb hand crafted shelving and open and closed sign. The major trough was clearly the famous flood of several summers ago. Hopefully the shop will recover, although obviously never reach the dizzy heights of the early 2000s. Art is there to be appreciated and bought; long may the picture parlour thrive in these uncertain times.

just a small shop, yet it offers a whole variety of carft products…read more if you enjoy scrapbooking or making your own cards this is the shop for you, there are embellishments and stampers galore. different brightly coloured cards and paper, glue and decals, ribbons, and mountings. this craft shop has them all, if they dont have what you want they will order it for you. not particularly a place to browse, you need to know what you want as a lot of the items are not easily seen but they are there ! friendly and helpful staff.
