This was THE PERFECT event for a bachelorette party. My best friend didn't want to do the strippers and bar crawl type of things but I still had to do something cheeky for her. I'm so glad I found TAB in my research. It was without a doubt the biggest hit of the party! Vanja and Malik both clicked with our party almost immediately, it was like having new friends hanging out with us. Except one of them was an extremely attractive guy posing nude :D Don't worry if you're bad at art-- the whole thing is super easy to enjoy no matter your skill level. This fully satisfied the 'silly, a little raunchy, but still classy' vibe I was going for at a reasonable price per person. They were very responsive via email with any questions too! Was privileged enough to experience the first round of The Artful Bachelorette Chicago and truly couldn't have enjoyed my experience more. A mature and safe space to learn something new, sip some bubbly, and engage is some girlish giggles, The Artful Bachelorette is a hit. Fleur, owner and creator of the experience, Vanja and Kelsey, the Chicago teachers, were all super sweet, helpful, and incredibly talented. Christian, our model, was a total babe (!!!) and also very sweet. I cannot say anything bad about my Artful Bachelorette experience other than it ended too soon! The Artful Bachelorette is a MUST-DO whether it be for a bachelorette party, birthday or just a girls night in. I first experienced the class (in all of its nude glory) at their Chicago launch event. We met founder, Fleur Childs, and heard about the history of the company. Think: bringing ladies together and making them feel comfortable and happy. I had such a blast that I insisted on hosting a class myself for a recently engaged girlfriend of mine. We easily scheduled a date with 2 teachers and a model who came to my house. There was very little set up involved in hosting, just moved the couches in my living room so our model had a roomy "stage" and all 8 guests had seats. Artful Bachelorette provided the rest (sketching materials, aprons, clipboards). Each guest brought snacks, wine, champagne, etc. and we had time to chat, chow down and drink beforehand and during a quick break in the middle. Our teachers and model were super laid back and made the 2-hour class a comfortable and hilarious environment for everyone. Our model joked around with us, we blasted Beyonce and actually learned some really great sketching techniques. We did a handful of various sketching exercises to warm up, followed by some fun challenges and different poses. We laughed at how terrible our drawings were, but were also quite surprised as to how much better we were doing than we thought we would (I blame the constant wine top-offs!). You work on a whole stack of sketches, not just one drawing the whole class. Which is great compared to some of the Bottle & Bottega sort of classes out there where you only get one shot. We all left with a rubber band roll up of our nude male model sketches to share (or not to share) with our boyfriends and husbands, and a wine hangover the next day. Honestly the most creative idea for bachelorette party ever! We celebrated my sister who was the bride-to-be and this team took great care of us! Our group had an amazing time with The Artful Bachelorette. We had a fun mix of men and women for our event and the staff was energetic, and professional. We didn't know what would take place that evening, and definitely don't want to give any spoilers, but it was a fantastic evening and we will definitely return for a second event. I have no idea how this isn't a more popular thing to do. My roomate/best friend turned 29 today and we thought it would be fun and hilarious to surprise her with a nude model drawing session. And let's just say it went EVEN BETTER THAN EXPECTED. Some bullet points here: 1) the model was so hot (hey Johnny, if you see this, call me) 2) the instructor was super inviting and made everything super comfortable 3) I got to un-abashadley stare at a peen for like 2 hours. Absolutely hilarious, classy, fun, different experience! The artists and model were extremely professional and fun. We all were a little apprehensive going in but it was a blast!! Also to note. It is nothing like those paint and wine classes where you get a picture to take home. It's more about legitimately learning how to draw and just having fun! read more
