Van Gogh original we had to paint

This place is very well organized. The team worked together to make sure we all had enough paint, drinks, any questions that we may have had. I've painted at other places that weren't as organized and it made the experience stressful. I highly highly recommend Pinots They also do parties! I also love they have a projector to show what the artist is doing if you aren't sitting close up! And a microphone!

This was my first time doing a sip and paint class and I had no idea what to expect. My husband has been wanting to try painting for a while and I thought this would be a good way to get our feet wet and figure out if we'd like to try real painting classes. The event was well organized and the communications were clear. They give you lots of info beforehand about parking, drinks, etc. Definitely come early! Painting starts promptly and you need all the time! The paintings are pretty intricate, which is part of the fun, but it's a lot to cover in 2 hours. I got behind because I wanted to do the painting with slightly different colors and needed to get new colors. It is nice that they give you the option of modifying the painting, if you want! I knew we would be taking our paintings home and I didn't want them to look too similar. I am not an artist and appreciated the step by step instructions. I don't have any skills, but I am kind of a perfectionist, which is a bad combo. I was 1-2 steps behind the entire class! Luckily, there was always an instructor walking around, and they were kind enough to repeat things to me. I spent a lot of time making the water in the painting very pretty... only to realize later that we would be painting over it with black. I kind of wish that was emphasized when we were painting the water, because it would've saved me a lot of time and it would have also saved me the heart - ache of painting over my hard work. In the end, we're very pleased with our paintings and had so much fun! There is a bar, with an extensive cocktail list. You can see the drink menu online. Come early to get a drink because there isn't much/any down time to get a drink in the middle of class. They have cubbies to store your belongings far from the paint and a coat rack in the back. They supply aprons, but definitely don't wear a nice long sleeve too because you'll risk getting paint on it! I would definitely recommend this class and also do it again. It was a fun atmosphere and the instructors are entertaining. Next time, I'll be better prepared, pick and gather my paints ahead of time, and map out where to spend my time (and where not to spend my time) when painting. I think this will make the class a little more relaxing and leave more time for socializing/fun.

Pinot's Palette is an absolute blast! My school hosted a paint night here and my friends and I had a great time. All of the staff were so friendly and very approachable, so it was easy to ask for help as you painted. Our teacher was hilarious and did a great job explaining each step of the painting process. The studio space is welcoming and has coat racks and cubbies to keep your things paint-free. There's also a full service bar available if you need a little bit of liquid inspiration to help you through your artistic process! Overall, I had a great time at Pinot's Palette and can't wait to come back in the future!

I just love coming here. I've celebrated many birthdays and today was my 53rd birthday

Such a great atmosphere for all types of group. I went in a group of 6 and we had so much fun. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is upbeat and positive. There's fun for everyone. We all felt like artists by the end of the class.

Sooooo I've been to this location a few times: a birthday get together, a date and a girlfriends hang out. So fun! Reasons why you should attend a class at this location: 1) Not BYOB but the bartender there makes a nice stiff drink 2) Friendly down to earth instruction/instructors made the classes fun 3) Space to move around in your seat and row, you will not be on top of your neighbor like some paint spots in Chicago 4) CHEAP! Classes are like $35 bucks 5) They provide a cute bag to house your masterpiece soooo you can trot up the street to a bar or restaurant to round out the night Will Return!

I did it! I'm so proud!

I attended the "Booze and Brushes" event for Yelp! Elite at Pinot's Pallette -- what a blast! I'd never been to a painting event, but always wanted to. This gave me a chance to do it in a room full of people I knew would be easy to meet and talk to. What I didn't count on was how fun the staff would be, too. Owner Tony and artist Julia were there at the door to greet us all, instructor Jae was charming and funny, and bartender Mark made the perfect Manhattan, with some great conversation thrown in. This is "painting made easy" for those of us who weren't exactly the stars of our visual arts classes, and it was fun to revert back and feel like I was sitting in my freshman high school art class again! I was able to snag a parking spot right out in front, which made the whole evening stress-free, and also checked out additional parking possibilities for my next trip there. Thanks to everyone who made this event possible, including our excellent hostess and Elite goddess, Anna K. My next challenge is figuring out how I can get a group of friends to join me there for another outing!

Had a lovely time painting! Great spot for a date. Stations for painting are all socially distanced. Temperature checks at the door, assigned seating and hand sanitizer readily available. Drinks are available from the bar. Two hours is plenty of time to paint your masterpiece while drinking and enjoying music. Rob was our instructor and of recommend taking a class from him! Our offing was an elephant and he made us all laugh by making occasional elephant noises. Thanks for a fun, colorful evening!

I am SUCH A Pinot's Palette fan. I've been here 3 times and am looking forward to returning. I came for the first time for a birthday event, and it was great to have a private room with just our friends and the instructor. The instructor had such a fun vibe, let us play our own music, and even took shots with us. The first time was even more fun because it was a class done with like glow in the dark paint, so we painted in the dark which made it seem like a fun night out. The second time I went to a Valentine's Day event, it was so much fun to split a canvas with my partner, and they made the music and painting geared toward the special night. We have the painting hung up in the room because of how great it turned out (we are anything but artists). The third time around, we had the same experience of great drinks, easy-to-follow instructions, good vibes, and spectacular staff. I really recommend this spot for any date night, special event, or even last-minute plan when tickets are available.

This is my 2nd time coming to Pinot Pallete for a paint night. A very nice art studio where you can come out to sip & paint. The studio has a nice bar to order drinks. They give you nice glasses with their logo to drink out of while you paint. Fun Time to come out for any event. Girls Night, Date Night, Corporate Events or just Team Building. Please be sure to check in and receive a cute paint brush pen. Be sure and sign up for the perk rewards to collect on corks points and other benefits for a free paint class. This studio in Logan Square is laid back, nice decor of paintings and other amazing decor around the studio to enjoy. I'm sure that you are bound to find something cute and take yourself a selfie. The staff is very friendly and they make you feel welcomed. The class tonight was fun but it was lacking a little energy. It was kind of dry and not enough fun or excitement. The paint class prices various and the bar prices are reasonable. Feel free to bring or order some food as well. No, its not BYOB that's the whole purpose of having a bar inside the studio.

My husband and I attended the Project Pet class where we painted a photo of our dog. Everything was so well planned and executed. From the friendly owner to the talented painting teachers, the entire staff was great! I would highly recommend!! We had a blast! Attached is a copy of the before and after.

    Beautiful placement.

They also have a wonderful scholarship program that I've been able to utilize from time to time and if you buy a mug from their wall it goes towards that fund. I did not see any violence and there was not a single ERECT PENIS to be found. What I did see was a most varied collection of distinct and unique art that clearly represented the artists that work from their most welcoming space! I have worked out of several studios, and have to say Lincoln Square Pottery & Learning Center has been the most welcoming, supportive and generous art space I have been a part. If you are looking for interesting gifts and unique ceramics, come on by. If you are looking boring, uninspired, slap it in a frame and call it art art, just keep walking. If you a re looking for ART, something that might challenge you, or perhaps a mug to give as a gift, there is both and everything in between. And a little advice for Rianna, look up St. Sebastian, that was the inspiration for one of the "pornographic" pieces you referred. And before referencing something you clearly know nothing about, BDSM, do some research on that topic as well. And by the way, YOU DID contact the Alderman to report the "debaucherous" display, and they did not have a problem with it AT ALL! No matter how you define yourself, you belong here!" When Daughter told me that she had just registered for a "Beginning Wheelthrowing" class at Lillstreet, I did not know the art center. However, I had always been curious about wheelthrowing and wanted to finally learn about it, so I registered too! We both registered for a 10-week class that met once a week in the weekend. It had been a fun 10 weeks! Well, we had missed 2 classes for our unexpected trip to Europe, but we were fortunate that we could make up work by going to "open studios" that are available only to current students. Our teacher Jen FitzGerald has 25 years of experience in ceramics. Both Jen and the class assistant, Kim, are very kind, welcoming, and encouraging. Jen always has solutions to whatever problems that we might have. After she made a demonstration throwing on the wheel, she would go around the classroom to see how everybody was doing with her own work. It was especially helpful during the first couple of classes that Jen came by me and helped me one-on-one to overcome the hurdles that I had. After I "mastered" the techniques, wheelthrowing is relaxing and fun. Glazing pottery has been a lot of fun too! Looking for our fired glazed work on the common shelves is like Christmas! There have been nice surprises of how the glazed work turned out! Now both Daughter and I have made a bunch of cups, mugs, and bowls that we are proud of. Like a lot of the students at Lillstreet, our passion for ceramics have been ignited, this class won't be the last! Lillstreet Art Center not only offers a lot of different art classes for all levels, it also hosts private events like birthday parties, and one-time workshops that you can test the water and have some fun. There is a gallery/gift shop that features a lot of one-of-a-kind creations from teachers and students, most are really sophisticated and professional, and inspirational too! There is a small café that you can enjoy local baked goods. We had tried the almond croissants which were very good. Our teacher Jen is having a Lounge Show "Mudweaver Ceramics" in the cafe, from November 1 to 30, 2024. The show showcases some very amazing ceramic art that looks like woven baskets! Come see the show if you can! Closing reception is on Friday, November 29 at 6:00 PM.

Before they opened, they were doing pop-up events at markets, fairs, and festivals, and they had an activity in the children's area at AppleFest last year. They opened in the last month or so and today I finally was able to visit! On Fridays, they have a session called Fluffle Babies (did you know that a group of bunnies is called a fluffed? I didn't!) for children up to age one and their caregiver(s). My baby is less than a month from turning one so I needed to get in here quickly! It was a fun morning. The owner was our host, and she had selected a topic for us to all share about so that we had a starting place for conversation. We introduced ourselves and our little ones, and shared our perspective on the morning's discussion topic. Then she introduced the art play for the day, which this morning was edible paints where we used rice cereal with food dye to color the cereal. Jinny explained that it's helpful to teach children not to eat paint, even though this is edible, because when they start playing with tempura paints, acrylics, and so on they will not be edible. My little one stirred the "paint" a little, ate some, smashed her hands in it, and crawled around. It was a fun morning for her! There are several different stations and tables for kids to partake in their activities. I'll be this is a fantastic place to have a kids party! When you enter you'll take your shoes off and there's a partial wall with a door to keep children from scampering off once they enter the art space. There's a tinker bar, several sinks, a play area with magnetic tiles, a place for playing with water... there are so many possibilities for children to have fun and be creative. I attended one of the toddler classes and it was good, but perhaps a little advanced for my daughter; it was ages 1-5, and there's a huge difference in one year olds (which is my daughter) to five year olds. Given that, the fact that I live in one of the outer neighborhoods now (instead of five minutes away), and that the class is on a weekday so I can't miss work each week I am not sure I'll be able to continue the class. But we may stop in on an open play day or something. I love the concept of this place and am look forward to visiting again and continuing to learn some fun ways to encourage artistic creativity in my little one! They are good about safety. Once the class starts, they lock the door (ask me how I know--luckily the babe was inside with grandma in the event I was locked out the entire time!). They have some great options for parents with slightly older children, as they have offered drop-in play for Maifest and they have it for Square Roots, too. I love that they offer this for parents to have just a little free time while their kids are having a blast on their own.
