I needed some custom clip-in extensions for my wedding, as my hair has a highly specific thick, coarse, curly texture, and complex mixed-blonde color. I went in for a consultation - and when I say Gia's an extension guru, I mean it. Together, we crafted the perfect mix & match set of extensions, fully curated - including length, density, texture, highlight and lowlight colors / tints - to my exact hair needs. She was even able to fully match the texture to my specific curl pattern! The package was *barely* more expensive than purchasing a NON custom pre-made package from somewhere like Bellami. So worth it. When I received the extensions, I could not BELIEVE the quality. The color, the curl pattern, the texture and density... all perfect. I can wear them as-is to match my natural curls, or wash and blow dry them straight to be styled however I please (which is what I did for my wedding)! I was also on a time crunch - Stitched promises a 2 week turnaround for extensions, and when the process was taking a little longer due to the factory losing power, Gia personally saw to it to expedite as fast as humanly possible, texting me with constant updates and the tracking number once she received it. Since my wedding was out of town, she also offered expertise on my own personal hair coloring appt before the wedding, as well as best practices for extension placement, styling and care. If I were in town, I would've for sure had Gia do the installation of them as well. I felt so held by Gia throughout the entire process, and am SO happy with the final product. I completely understand life happens - people get sick, emergencies arise, but when it happens twice in a row, the salon should do something more then send a generic text and then ignore their customers. I made this appointment FIVE WEEKS in advance and needed my hair done for an event over the weekend. The woman on the phone was not very nice. When I expressed I was disappointed because this is the second time in a row this happened, she just said "we can't have people work when they're sick..." she completely missed the point. If I get cancelled on last minute, twice in a row, and you can't accommodate a new reservation, give your customer a discount or a free hair product. Not an attitude. Especially when the salon would have gladly charge me in FULL if I was the one to cancel last minute. Thankfully, I was able to find a place in the area that took me last minute so I will be paying them from now on. There are plenty of other places, who charge better, and care about their customers, so tread carefully with this place.

I received a bad haircut 2+ years ago at a different salon and I was finally feeling like I could go and get my haircut again. I was very careful when researching salons and thought this place would be a good fit. I mentioned in my booking that this was my first haircut in a while due to a bad experience and told my stylist. The salon also asked for pictures of my hair and sent a questionnaire asking what I wanted. I said multiple times that I wanted long layers and to keep most of my length. That did not happen. The stylist kept length in the back and gave me very short layers and I do not like the very poofy, volumized look. When I have gotten curly cuts in the past, it's like they are carving my curls with their scissors and making them fall nicely. The stylist here took portions of my hair and pulled them to the opposite side of my head to cut and give me very short layers. When dried, the curls get muddled together and do not even fall nicely. I feel like I have a shelf of short curls around my head. I wear my hair up and I cannot even wear it braided due to all the layers. When I shower I am reminded of what a hack job of a haircut I received and get sad all over again. Having mentioned my troubled past with haircuts in the booking (and in person), I thought that they would be very careful when cutting my hair. I am aware that my past heightens my current disappointment, but I think it is still worth to note to prospective customers that they are not able to achieve long layers.
