First off, she took the time to speak to me over the phone and ask good questions. I brought my Mom with me who also needs a hairdresser. She was very kind, patient and understanding towards her... my Mom has dementia so the person who works with her has to have a lot of patience. Even the other hairdresser was friendly & engaging in the salon. I have been to a ton of salons in my lifetime... it's rare to experience this kind of upbeat & kind attitude. Cheri gave me a courtesy reminder call prior to our appointment which I always totally appreciate.. When we arrived she made us feel like SOLID GOLD. Her genuine and amazing personality & TALENTS are so outstanding in person. She went above and beyond to make sure that we both felt and looked our best. She sent me a thank you note, which I always do with my own clients. Thank you Cheri for being so totally fabulous! Two hours before my appt., she had someone call me to let me know that she was running late and to reschedule. I did, not a problem, for 3 days later. The next time I made an appt., she cancelled again on me, said due to family issues. I rescheduled. Went in and had a highlight (only). I have short hair. Just below my ears. When she told me $230.00 was the fee, I just about fainted. I should have asked how much it would be before I scheduled (my fault), and she should have told me too! I normally pay for a highlight (in Swampscott) $120.00 at a nice salon! When I asked about her telling clients about her prices, she said "my clients don't like me to tell them the prices." That just did not make sense! Both appointments she kept me waiting, and the second and LAST appt., she kept me waiting 30 minutes. At the first appt., she proceeded to tell me all her woes with the neighbor across the street, with the City of Peabody, etc. Was she trying to get sympathy from me. I felt it was inappropriate to tell me, a new customer, all of her woes. I really don't want to hear a person's sad stories! I managed to pay for my appt. (the highlight), with a check and the check was cashed. I called and told her that I could not recommend her and would not be coming back. She said to me: "I'm sorry you feel that way". (No "how can I make it better" - that was all!) (that is a classic narcissist response!) So, I warn anyone who has service there to check on the price beforehand. When I got there and we started, she just steamed my face and said she couldn't extract anything. Then she did the rest of it, which was just a shoulder massage and rubbing a ridiculous amount of lotion all over my face, including on my eyelids. I had a film of lotion over my eyes for two days. I would never go there again.

The day of my appt I was met by their aesthetician, Josie. The salon was clean, welcoming and professional. She brought me to a beautiful treatment room with a bed that was already heated. During the treatment she explained how my skin was reacting to the treatment and made several suggestions. I chose the PRX treatment and couldn't be happier with the excellent results. Josie took her time and provided an excellent mini upper body arms and hand massage and to my surprise my feet and lower legs. Total bonus on a winter day. For an hour Josie provided a beautiful experience providing a great ambiance in a relaxing environment. After several days my skin still feels and looks amazing and is still glowing. Having had other hyrdafacials mostly on vacations this one was by far the best and long lasting result that I have ever had. The salon has many other services that I will definitely check out and will be returning again soon.
