BEWARE! I am a recently retired physician and needed my Family Trust updated and hired The Ashcraft Firm to do the job for $2880, which was reasonable. I paid 50% upfront with $1440, and scheduled a signing meeting in 30 days. Unfortunately, my wife needed to work, so I requested to reschedule the meeting, then they wanted to charge me a $215 rescheduling fee. I asked if they offered Docusing, or some other on-line service, and they said NO! I never charged any of my patients a rescheduling fee and I felt the extra fee was a unprofessional insult. So I cancelled the service and found another Law Firm that provides on-line signing services and no require in-person meeting for half the price the Ashcroft Firm charges. Clients should not be charged extra fees just to manage the high office overhead! All can be done on-line or ZOOM. read more

Time to update the Trust! I chose the Ashcraft Firm after looking around. An initial consultation was free. I mention a fee because, one place I visited has a refundable fee, so I went, but several places I researched had non-refundable consultation fees, just to meet! Firms that need to charge without a refundable option, make me wonder how adequate & reliable they are, if they can't spare an hour to discuss the update of a trust. It comes across, as either, so busy there's a need to discourage folks (which worked with me), or as a bit desperate for revenue. I need to look around and meet people first for the BEST fit, without having to spend an arm and 2 legs to do it! The Ashcraft Firm for me, is that BEST fit. Greg Ashcraft, is pleasant to speak with, puts a person at ease quickly, and is straightforward, even using a simple Ven-type diagram to illustrate the process! He's knowledgeable about laws that have changed and how they can impact a trust today. All questions were answered, and if unsure, Greg checked before giving a firm response. I was encouraged to contact the firm with additional questions that might occur to me. After changes were made, Greg ensured me I had time to review the trust docs, ask questions, and change things within 6 months, to be sure the trust was the way I wanted it. That brings me to Bianca! What a treasure the firm has! This is a lady on her A+ game 24/7! I contacted her several times with questions and concerns, which she either passed on, if needed, or takes care of herself. She's FAST, checks to make sure all things are in place and are correct, confirms, sets appointments, immediately and for as soon as possible, then confirms/responds again to any issue, as often as needed.
