The Apartment "Manager" (Meaghan Argon) is very unprofessional and disrespectful to the point of bold prejudice. From the beginning she tried to have me sign paperwork with incorrect figures, stating that it would be corrected later. Secondly, I stated my 2 vehicles prior to moving from Tx, they tried to give me only ONE property tag, stating that I would have to put another person on my lease to get another tag. 3rd But Not final, Upon my move-in Nov 2024, I reported the apartment (1224) was NOT CLEANED prior to my move-in, I also reported a HOLE in the bathroom ceiling in Nov 2024, which was NEVER investigated which lead to a POURING LEAK from the upstairs neighbors WASTE WATER in July 2026. These actions should have been red flags to STAY AWAY. Recently, I have reached out the Meaghan Argon concerning the use of my electricity by a high wattage blower motor which was left running in my apartment for 7+ days, for 24/ day. July 15- July 22 + to facilitate this property maintenance. This increased was reflected on my utility bill because during this time period I was not occupying my apartment since March 2026. I have sent emails, several phone messages and she has blatantly ignored all of my attempts to rectify the situation with any from of compensation. I also notified them of my intention to NOT renew my lease, they have NOT responded to confirm they received my email.. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL AND ANOTATE EVERYTHING when dealing with these people.. They have no cooperate management, therefore their UNPROFESSIONAL PREJUDICE goes unchecked.. But there is a God.. read more

Homeless people digging in the trash day and night. Druggies under the bridge by Cosco. No cameras around or gates so car theft is high. Front office will do nothing besides say "we apologize". You will have dents on your car door because parking spaces are very close. Sliding doors to the closet will fall off and have to be fixed every 3months. Within 1year the fridge and washing machine stopped working. The oven would work one day and stop the next. After a couple weeks the "patch ups" start to peel off in the shower revealing chips and cracks. And there is an additional $20 fee every time you pay rent using a card or bank acct. WAY OVERPRICED. They will watch you and try to fine you or kick you out for any reason , they never got the chance to evict me but I know they wanted to badly. They took $900 of my deposit for carpet replacement , it was just regular wear and tear I had no pets or major stains but they couldn't find anything else so they got me for that ! As well as my move out date was aug1st but they pro rated me till the 15th and charged me $700 extra because I didn't sign a vacate form. They never gave me a form to sign or any documentation about this , they stated it was posted on my door June 23rd , I had a ring doorbell and nobody came on that day . When I told them I have video evidence they right away told me I cannot contact them anymore , said I can't come in to the office or call them , and gave me there lawyers info . Said I was harassing them and threatened to evict me over it . And then now that I'm completely moved out they sent me check for they owed and didn't even send the correct amount shorted me $100 so now I have to call and fight with them again . Super unprofessional lack of empathy you'd figure you get more empathy from. Such low income employees they tend to be more understanding and a tad nicer. But none of that. My 5 year old had an allergic traction to the bathtub bc it got resurfaced, and they painted it with paint that has latex. I had to use her 500 epi pen because she went into anaphylaxis shock. 1st day, her allergic reaction and faucet in her bathroom is dripping a large amount of water.. 2nd week, the microwave stops working day after that, I try to use the oven, and nope, it doesn't work. Day after that, the washer starts to actively flood water. They did send a cleaning lady to clean the bathtub, but that didn't work. I broke into red spots and hives. The pictures below are me still red and swollen after 1 hour of me taking a shower, not a bath. I explained to them that the bathtub still has paint flakes coming off of it. It needs to be resurfaced. Don't waste your money. The apartment complex looks clean, and I don't mind things being old and used, but they have to be functional. Their not. One of my neighbors stated they have been without a functioning AC since June. Yikes. Oh, and they ignore your text messages, so yeah, avoid yourselves the hassle and headache go somewhere else. read more

I have been a resident since September 2024 (under two months). The apartment itself is spacious, updated and comfortable. This past week, I experienced a home invasion by an unknown man in the middle of the afternoon. The man broke in through the front door by force (although he was only around 5'5" and skinny build). When I arrived home at 4:50 pm, my lock was jammed and When I opened my door with some force, said man popped out and was unclothed and the shower was running. After meeting face to face with him, I urgently left and called the police at 4:52 pm. The responder stayed on the phone and a police officer did not show up until 6:00 pm. My partner showed up to support me and went to check on my apartment during this time. She found the unknown man in my son's bed masturbating. This detail was particularly disturbing and violating. Other materials left in my bedroom were a drug pipe and butane can. The next day I spoke with management to request a move to a different unit or to break my lease without the early move out fees due to this man specifically requesting and knowing about my apartment, being in there for over two hours, using drugs and violating my space in my child's personal property. Management informed Me that that they saw this man on the property and asked him to leave when a concerned neighbor saw him walking around that area, asking for my specific apartment number and walking strangely through the bushes. Management denied my request to break my lease without the fees (full months rent plus paying back concession) and added on that I would need to give a thirty day notice before I could end my lease. This whole situation has been traumatic. I went to management urging them to have compassion and respond with care to me and my young child. They offered to have me live in a neighboring apartment owned by the same owner at the Aspens without transfer fees. While I originally considered accepting this, I will not. I do not feel valued, cared for or protected by this apartment owner/staff/security. I am sharing in hopes that others are aware and stay informed while they are considering this apartment complex for a home. read more

Complete false advertisement abount 24 hour gym access. The staff locks the entire side door you are supposed to go in and your key does not work on the top lock to get into the gym on the weekends. The parking is completely horrendous with constant predatory trucks patrolling the lot, maintenance on anything takes forever to get completed with multiple calls for any problem to get patched up, not fixed entirely requiring the same phone call to be made a few weeks later. Do yourself a favor and find a different place to think about renting from and save yourself the time, money, and hassle of dealing with people who obviously do not care about you outside of your wallet. read more

I moved in September 2022 with a broken refrigerator the freezer kept freezing up maintenance was called a multiple times. Finally on April 5, 2023 I received a text message from The​resa stating a refrigerator would be ordered and would take two weeks then I would be contacted once received to make arrangements. I called the office exactly 2 weeks later for an update to see if the refrigerator was received the lady informed me that the maintenance were going to be delivering the refrigerator on Thursday and​ Friday that week. No one came and no one called so I contacted the office on April 24, 2023 for an another update and spoke with Alexis she stated there was no refrigerator and Theresa was not available. I went into the office later that day to see if I could speak with Theresa about my issues however that did not happen another person spoke directly with Teresa about my concerns and was told they will contact the vendor regarding the refrigerator. The maintenance team are amazing and professional but they can't do their job until they get approval from the office. I lived in the Aspens apartments for 5 years, moved out for 3 years and moved back in October of 2023. This has become a terrible place to live. My fridge leaks water inside, my dishwasher doesn't drain, my dryer doesn't dry my clothes. Parking is a nightmare, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Your car will get broken into and/or stolen. The "Courtesy Patrol" will do nothing but boot your car. They say it's to keep parking available for tenants but it's just a money grab. The tag and boot says it's from Auto Shackles LLC, which is a scam company. The office said they don't know who this company is, but then they said "oh yeah that's Enchantment Towing". The office staff is probably in on the boot scam. They will make up rules and regulations just to charge you fees. read more

Terrible, I gave a Securitty deposit when I moved in and they kept the entire amount when I moved out, which doesn't make sense because I left the apartment in great condition!!! I've been living here for 10 months and if I would've read the reviews, I definitely would not have moved in. They want you to follow rules and regulations, and they don't practice what they preach. It's a process just to get them to fix things in the apartment and also it's so disgusting people will just throw furniture outside of the dumpsters and it will stay there for weeks. It makes the complex look shabby and all the office will say when I have called is someone will pick it up. They can't even have maintenance put it on the side where you can't see it, it's disappointing .I definitely do not recommend living here especially for what they charge. read more

*If you are genuinely on the hunt for an apartment please take your time to read this, might save you some trouble* Probably the worst apartment complex to stay in and only because of staffing. My family and I have finally moved out and this was my experience. Olivia is probably the most disrespectful human to work in customer service and it's actually pretty sad that she thinks she can act in such a manner that won't result in consequences, probably because she doesn't receive any. If she wants impolite, she should just stay at home. We understand that the pandemic still has lasting affects on those and their employment situations but being ill-mannered will only be reciprocated appropriately. Approximately June 2021, our in-unit dryer had broken and I immediately put in a work order request to maintenance which was otherwise disregarded until we later had further problems within the apartment. Let me preface this by saying I did not give the apartment permission to enter my apartment without me there which clearly allows you to choose that option while filing a request. The following month our A/C completely shut off which would be considered the hottest month of the year as well as an emergency according to the lease agreement and nothing was done immediately. I had put in another work order and was told they cannot do anything for a couple of days. Absolutely no resolution, no compromise only that they cannot do anything. Finally someone came to fix the A/C and still the dryer was left unchecked. If you're already in my apartment, why don't you fix all the requests so you don't have to keep coming back? Work smarter not harder. The A/C was not fixed completely and gave out within the hour and we had a pet sitting in the heat all day. While at work I had called many times to see if they can come and fix it properly or give us a portable air conditioner in which, again, Olivia gets on the phone and proceeds to actually yell at me. This is not an exaggeration but she quite literally yelled at me stating that I need to stop calling because it was getting annoying. You know what's annoying? Sleeping in 90 degree heat and sticking to your bed. Anyway, while at work the next day I had called again in regards to the A/C and was told they would call me before they headed over to the apartment because, as you might remember, they did not have permission to enter my apartment without me there. To make this long story short they had entered without permission and as they like to constantly point out, according TO THE LEASE, they must give you at 24 hour notice before entering the apartment without you present. For this reason, I had complained to Theresa who was kind and apologized for not only Olivia's behavior but the complete negligence that took place. This is not enough. If you choose preach the lease to tenants on a daily basis then you and your staff must also abide by the written agreement. In conclusion, this was probably the worst experience among others in which I don't care to write about. Also they didn't fix the dryer until September. So take from this what you will. Don't live here if you want your mail. In the 3 years I have lived here, I have had my mail stolen about 15-17 times. Regardless of the many complaints filed with the apartment complex, they still haven't even put up a camera (real or fake); nothing to deter the theft of mail because they genuinely do not care or don't have the resources to handle theft. Their solution "check your mail box frequently" Also I have had my car broken into 3 times. My neighbors have had their cars broken into several times, and a multitude of other issues. I would also take positive reviews with a grain of salt. They offer money off people's rent for positive reviews. I have the misfortune of being stuck in a lease here, however, RENTER BEWARE! The property is nice, however, the staff will quickly make you forget how nice the property is. The management here is horrendous, the amount of difficulty and communication issues is inexplicable. I'm not sure what is going on with the mail here, but packages that say are delivered and received by the office go "missing" frequently, and even if they have your package, they will tell you they don't unless you go back and forth with them asking them why your tracking information says it was received by the office and after being passed between staff members, then you may finally get the truth. Any chance to address issues are quickly turned into unnecessary back and forth, and drama by the very lazy and miserable staff whom I recently had to literally involve the authorities after the manager Megan refused to give me a package that they had accepted on my behalf. There are plenty of nice apartments with good pricing in the surrounding area, this particular property, I assure you is not worth the trouble. None of the amenities make up for the multitude of maintenance issues that are never addressed properly the first few times you put in a request. The property appears to be overloaded with residents and issues, as the staff is always "so busy" and "getting to everyone as fast as they can". In the past two years although I am supposed to be renting in a "newer" building, after heavy rain or snow the ceiling starts leaking, which takes the property forever to address with their outside contractors who don't fix things properly, each time getting worse and worse. There have also been times since the start of the pandemic when maintenance or contractors arrived at the apartment wearing no masks or PPE. This property is run by wolves in sheep's clothing. Our initial experience here was lovely. From the tour to the lease signing. When we first arrived to move in the apartment was not move-in ready, in the least, it wasn't even cleaned as there were debris and dirt all over the place. And it's only gone downhill from there. Management is more interested in having drama to complain about while they should be working, instead of actually fixing or addressing anything. Communication is terrible as they will ignore you. Hello, I've been living here for close to two years, and one of the biggest problems is other people's kids. There used to be a jungle gym in the middle of our buildings, but they tore it down. I think it's because no one watches their kids. I think this because kids would peek through the windows and use the front of people's apartments as a hangout spot. I tried to ignore this, but then they started damaging trees, leaving steps covered in rocks, leaving trash or toys in the middle of the sidewalk and in the bushes. There are also chips being broken off the walls from them throwing rocks at it or hitting rocks with bats towards other buildings. Once maintenance left a stack of some styrofoam insulation out, they surrounded it, ripped it apart, and spread it through the apartment buildings... If you get an apartment here, get ready to deal with someone else's kids because the parents can't, and the front won't listen to your complaints. read more

When we moved in we noticed there was trash all over in front of the balcony and inside the balcony is covered in side walk chalk. After the first use of the toilet in the master bathroom it backed up and will not flush. the blinds in one of the bedrooms do not close and the other bedroom was missing the rod. I immediately called the front office and was told maintenance would call me back and surprise they never did, this was on Saturday. I returned my move in checklist and explained all the issues and was told again that maintenance would be contacted. it has now been two weeks and I have not been able to use that toilet and have no privacy in one of the bedrooms I have gone to the office twice and called three times. last week I was told they would be here on Thursday they never showed up I called again on Tuesday and was told they would be here this afternoon got home and still nothing. I have tried to patient but I am beyond frustrate, I definitely would not recommend these apartments and will not be renewing my lease read more

So the apartments aren't too bad, however the parking is horrible! If you get home after a hard days work, plan to search for parking and then when you do finally park, you'll be walking! If you ask about the parking before you move in, the staff says it's no problem. Once you move in they say "yup it's an issue". Also, recently the hot water tank went out and it took them four days to fix it. Keep in mind the hot water tank not only supply's hot water it also supplies heat to the apartment. This also happens to be in December with the temperatures at night in the 30's. So no hot water and no heat for almost a week and as an adjustment they took $44 of my rent, because that's all the have to do by law. Let me start by saying it is never a good thing to lie to your tenants about why the property is falling apart. For the price I pay I expect a workout room a year around pool and a nice landscaper maintained outside area. I've been here a year and suddenly the pool is no longer year round and the workout room is always unavailable due to the lock on the door. It's not good anymore. DO NOT move to this place... If I could move, I would. You cannot have both heat and hot water at this place. You run the heat and the water is cold, you run the hot water and you have no heat. They cannot figure out how to do both. IT IS RIDICULOUS. They had to fix my heater 4 times... and it is still not fixed. The maintenance is nice enough but they cannot figure out how to fix anything. The property has had 4 managers in 5 years. They over-charge you for water. The work out room is disgusting and they cannot figure out how to keep a remote control by the TV. They do not care about working with you and they are nasty and mean. They DO NOT care about their residents AT ALL. Please do not move to this place...this year we had a shooting...Literally, someone was shot DEAD on their steps...and the crime scene tape is still up 3 months later. It is abhorrent and they never even addressed it with the community. This place is AWFUL. GO somewhere else- you do not want to live here. read more

Warning!!! Horrible apartment management. After 2 years of living here and having to request maintenance repairs on the same issues over and over because they never fixed anything (only patch), not being able to change air filters regularly because the cover is bolted and requires special tools and pay penalties for being out of town when they come around (unplanned) to service fire extinguishers!! (Oh and by the way they have keys?? and of course will enter your apartment to do a next day annual inspection without hesitation). Someone finally moved into the apartment below me and brings one of the sound bars that are not appropriate for standard apartment construction and apparently think it's OK to have a kerosine heater without proper ventilation installed!!! I file my 1st formal complaint with the office about the noise and health risks from the new neighbors actions. Guess what? When my lease ended - I was told they were not renewing my lease and they were not required to offer an explanation as to why. Choose another property!!! read more

Again after 11 months things got worse. This shouldn't get a one star. My other half just got notice saying they have to charge extra for a fixed rate for water, sewage, and trash. It went from metered to a fixed rate. This happened so they can complete the construction on the new apartments. Then to make things worse they are charging for a second vehicle. So we do have to park in Costco parking lot. All together he's paying an extra 150.00. ** If you read the reviews posted here carefully, you will notice overall trends of the SAME COMPLAINTS. ***If you find positive reviews, it is because The Aspens offered people MONEY off their rent to post anything positive at all on a review and demonstrate proof of that. The only advantage to these apartments is that their interiors are nice enough. The disadvantages outweigh this one positive quality tenfold. 1.) There is absolutely no parking ever. After 4 pm, you will find it immensely difficult to find parking anywhere other than the fringe ends of the complex. 2.) High levels of crime. Murder. Domestic violence. And the complex management won't talk to you about what has happened or address it with the community--instead, you can just hear on the news about who was shot and where. 3.) The management team, in general, is difficult, disrespectful, and dishonest. They withhold information from tenants, lie about the availability of garages and covered parking (to be able to provide them to NEW tenants, not anyone already leased), and monthly release new "rules and regulations" that you are forcibly asked to comply with. 4.) Noise complaint? No one will follow up on that. Don't bother. 5.) Unless you are an individual that can rack up a water/sewage bill that exceeds $45 a month, you are going to be OVERCHARGED for water/sewage here. They offer you a flat rate (dependent on size of apartment)that inarguably exceeds most single-occupant usage. 6.) Visitor parking, beware! There are scattered, select visitor parking spots for the special handful of people that can find them. If you park somewhere else, you WILL be booted and fined. 7.) Bonus! If for some reason the booting company can't see YOUR parking permit (it was somehow magically obscured in your front window) or your license plate (like say if you have to have yours in your back windshield for a time, and the window is foggy because of weather), you will STILL be booted and charged the $75 to have it removed. Hooray! 8.) Management does not, I repeat, does not care about YOU, your concerns, your wellness, or your safety. Period. They do not communicate. They do not investigate. They do not follow up. SUPER excited for my lease to finally end... but not so excited to find out how many FEES I'll be erroneously charged in my exit-- as many reviewers here have noted that they are charged for a hundred different things when they leave. I plan to document carefully before I exit and seek legal help if they attempt to charge me for anything outside of my responsibility. Good luck! read more

I will start off by saying that I have lived in a lot of apartments in my life and this is one of the nicest and affordable complexes I've ever lived in. There is a great playground for kids, two pools, a hair salon, year round hot tub, and a work out room. They let me use the fax whenever I need to for free and there are computers for public use in the leasing office. ( The apartments are well built and very quiet. Spacious balconies (I live in a 2 bedroom) with some storage space to boot. Washer and dryer in unit is nice (and being from Chicago, not something I've EVER experienced before). The layout of the apartment is acceptable. The "master bedroom" has a master bath in it which would be nice only the second bedroom is MUCH larger and has a walk in closet. We ended up making our bedroom in the second bedroom for the closet and using the "master" bedroom as a guest room. I agree with the previous reviewer that the staff is very friendly and the walk through (which we did several days before move in) was very thorough. They offered to replace several things that were stained but we chose to keep them so that we wouldn't need to stress about having everything be new. I took off a star for some inconsistency while applying for the apartment. Initially, when we did a walk through we were advised that the complex allowed small breed dogs under 30 lbs, no puppies, cats, and birds. We were told that other renters in the complex had birds and there was no problem. We were very clear on this being a deal breaker for us as we had a parrot at the time. Since then, we have had to adopt her out to a loving flock but at the time we were intending on keeping her. After being told that we could have her in the apartment with a deposit (both upfront and monthly), we put down money to hold the apartment and paid to have the credit/background checks completed. AFTER we got approved the same person who said birds were okay advised us that in fact they are not allowed. She then denied ever having said they were allowed. This was, needless to say, very frustrating. Since we had to find her a new home anyway, it wasn't the end of the world, but it would be nice if they had been up front with us before taking our money. Since moving in, our experiences have been very consistent, honest, and pleasant. We will most likely stay here until we buy a house in a few years. read more

Horrible Horrible place to live! The worst parking and towing policy on the planet. They will tow you if your placard is not exactly where they want it to be, or they will boot your vehicle then come back and remove it and try to charge you for a " stolen " merchandise. The office goes through New Management every 2 to 3 months, they tell you that they'll fix issues around the facility and then don't. They allow neighbors to be unruly, loud, and just plain unbearable and then tell you they'll fix it with a notice to comply. Here it is a year later and I'm still going to the same issues every week. Now that I decided that I can no longer stand this and want to leave, I had given my 30-day notice and they refused to let me out of my lease even though the lease I wanted was for the end of September and they wrote it for the end of October. They have added Insurance to the lease in the middle of the lease without consulting and made it a mandatory insurance payment. Months of ants and black mold in the bathroom, leaking windows in the bedroom ruining electronics and property without so much as a sorry...domestic disputes in neighboring apartments that the" courtesy payroll" will NOT respond to... matter of fact the only thing the patrol responds to is Towing vehicles. In the paperwork the apartment complex gives you, the courtesy Patrol is to respond to noise complaints... they refuse. You're not allowed to even contact ownership to plead your case as everything goes to the regional or the property manager (for that week) with no way to contact ownership. I decided to move out of state and get away from this crappy apartment complex... Do yourself a favor, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!! read more

Great staff, nice apartments (except outrageous water bill), but HORRIBLE PARKING!!!! If you don't get home before 4 pm on a week day you will NOT find parking anywhere remotely close to your apt. VERY limited visitor parking spots. On the weekend you almost don't want to move your car because you DEFINITELY wont get a parking spot upon returning. They built all these new apt buildings but didn't make enough parking spots to accommodate the new buildings. EXTREMELY UNREASONABLE rates for water bill. 1B=$45 flat rate water fee. When it was metered my bill would be under $20 for water, trash and sewer faithfully. read more

Worst service I have ever payed for on so many levels. Parking is horrendous, maintenance takes weeks to months to get done, hot tub is cold, heated pool isn't heated, ants are everywhere, pools are dirty, expect to get the run around from the staff, and expect them to fee you to death.
