We went to see her and she explained how she helps people with peripheral neuropathy treatment. Because my mom had nerve damage in her feet from the aneurysm this is what she would need. So she explains all these things asks us to watch a video which looked amazing of course. Then tells us it is a scientific 4-step proven approach to heal nerves and reverse symptoms and guaranteed to help her. Then hits you with a price of $6000.00 which she collects all up front! Non-refundable! So my parents decide to fork out the money because mom is desperate at this point for some relief. Well this program consisted of a powder to mix with water and drink everyday, some creams and a footbath with supposed nerve shocks, which she never felt anything. She had an appt. 1 or 2 times a week. Nancy would do some measuring of her gait and some adjusting etc. and tell mom to dome some exercises. This whole program was supposed to last a year! At this point I am just gonna say, she felt nothing, no different at all everrrr! Mom got frustrated and did not want to keep going back because she felt nothing was working. I asked Nancy to send me weekly reports of my mom as to what she thought about her progress because I live out of state and could not go to her appts. She refused to do that and said she would send me a monthly report. I believe I received 1 of those. Any time I would call to question her progress she did not really seem helpful and did not want to talk to me. So basically after day 1 and she had the money she was a different person. I asked for phone calls and never received them. Mom was frustrated and did skip a few appts. unbeknownst to me. The last time I spoke to Nancy near the end of the year, she tried to blame it on my mom for skipping appts. and said she wasn't doing the regimen. I didn't feel or see the compassion from her and neither did my mom! We were and still feel taken advantage of! Let me re-iterate $6000.00 was the cost for this crock for a yr. Honestly, I've taken a while to write this review because it took me a while to warm up to them…read more They're definitely a business and very much try to get you to come in multiple times, and as a scientist I wasn't always very sold on the diagnoses and techniques. So, as a scientist, I did what I would usually do and I tried it multiple times to form my conclusion.... And my conclusion is I love it. It's the one place I know in the greater New Orleans area, that when they ask you how you're doing when they pass you in the hallway, they MEAN it. Which did lead to some hilariously awkward conversations in the beginning when I wasn't used to it and would respond, "good," instinctively. They actually care about you as a person (and as a patient), and it really shows in how they work and operate. They take a holistic approach to your health, and do a DETAILED questionnaire and assessment with Dr. Curtis, and Danielle the PA to really learn about you overall. Their staff always remembers your name and things you like and they love to goof around and have a good time with you, so it makes the awkwardness of working out and stretching in SUPER weird postures go a lot more smoothly. Lol they're excellent stretches, trust me, but I look like a giraffe or a flailing pigeon sometimes). Seriously, their staff are GOOD PEOPLE. I love them to no end. A typical visit once you get into the swing of things involves lots of stretches and warm ups depending on your problem area, followed by this magical bed with a roller in it to massage and stretch your spine out, followed by deep tissue muscle massages from the techs, and then a chiropractic adjustment if you need/want it. Then they finish you off with some ice and the TEMS machine (electro-phys to stimulate your muscles). Also, they're always open and willing to help you with any problems, concerns, or issues, so don't be afraid to let them know if something hurts, bothers you, or makes you uncomfortable. They will do everything in their power to fix it for you!
