DO NOT COME HERE!!! I came in for a simple straight-edge neck shave and a beard lineup. An old man was taking care of me, so I assumed I was in the hands of someone with decades of experience. WRONG! First, he used clippers and asked me if it looked good. No! I asked for a straight-edge. Then he grabbed his straight-edge razor and gave it another run. But for some reason, he kept the guard on which is only used for hair cutting, not shaving. When I pointed that out to him, he took the guard off and gave it a third run. The shave felt like he was pulling my facial hair out one by one. Still not a clean cut. I was sent over to someone else's chair. She gave a fourth run at shaving me and it still looked like I shaved yesterday. I wasted 50 minutes with four shave passes by two people and it still looked horrible. I suppose in hindsight I should have known better than to go to a place in a run-down plaza. Lesson learned. read more

10 STARS!! I have been going to the The Barber's Post for 30 years! I have NEVER been disappointed! Scott and Dan cut my hair way back when and now Haley has been cutting it for the last 10 years. All 4 of my kids (3 boys & 1 girl) have had their 1st cuts there and won't go anywhere else. Haley is AMAZINGLY TALENTED and SUPER FRIENDLY!! She is great with kids and super patient. She can blend a fade like no other. She can also do a women's cut as well as, if not better then those fancy salons. The care and family atmosphere at the shop is warm and welcoming. When you arrive you're welcomed with a warm HELLO. When you leave it's a caring SEE YOU NEXT TIME or HAVE A GREAT DAY! You are NEVER ignored! I have been going to The Barbers Post since they were originally in the Livonia mall. Scott and Dan were always the best at their craft. I would even go there to get my haircut when I was in leave during my time in the United States Marine Corps. Haley has also cut my hair for many years since she has started working there. Dan and Haley are extremely professional. Their shop always has a welcoming environment and they go above and beyond for their clients. There is plenty of times that you will have to wait for a haircut, but that is just a testament to the quality of work they do. This had been my favorite shop. I've been through most all the barbers there and I finally settled on Marcea for the last few years. I went back recently, and I come to find out that she has left. I had my haircut by Haley and I really don't appreciate people talking crap about former employees. Right or wrong leave me out of it. I come in for a haircut, I have my own problems , I don't need to hear about yours. Marcea did a fine job and I miss her and wish her well. If I could give this establishment a 0 I would. This place is run down and they talk harshly about past employees. Its unnecessary I've been going to Marcia for the last 20 years and All these smack talkers saying untrue things about how they believe shes unstable is the furthest from the truth. She is sweetest most bubbly spirit. Shes entertaining and makes sure her clients know she loves and appreciates them. She does an amazing job. While at multiple visits to this establishment I witness jealous at it's best. The owner Dan and the Manager Haley were not happy because Marcia always had more clients then they did. read more

Repeat customer here. I've been getting my hairs cut (all of them) from Hailey since I can remember, I followed her to the Barbers Post when she started. I could not speak kinder about this business and their employees. They treat everyone as if they were family of their own. From Dan the Owner, to all the Barbers, to the Clients that visit, it's always a friendly and loving atmosphere. And quite frankly the quality and attention to detail is 2nd to none. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Dan has been cutting my hair for nearly 3 decades. Always get a great cut. Haley does my boys cuts and they always look great. As for the one star review Marcia, were you the one always sitting there like a cone with never anyone flocking to get a hair cut from you? Yeah and with eating at your station. Haley is wonderful! She cuts my boyfriends hair and always does an amazing job! When his brother recently needed a haircut, I told him he has to go to Haley. He was nervous because he likes it cut a certain way, but once again she exceeded our expectations and he found a new hair stylist!! Thanks for all you do, Haley! You are seriously appreciated! I've been a customer for over 30 years. I usually have Dan cut my hair, but have been to Haley on occasion. If I could click 10 stars, I would. Dan and Haley couldn't be more friendly and professional. I moved further away from the shop several years ago. Although my trip is much longer I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. They have adapted to new Covid protocol. The shop is spotless, and I couldn't feel any more comfortable coming in, even during these crazy times. read more

Haley is our go to but all employees are awesome! My dad would go to the shop when I was a young girl and I would even get my hair cut there. My husband also goes to see her and I have taken my mother in law there for a short cut. Haley is amazing she can do anything you ask her to do and we are always more than satisfied! Dan did my sons first haircut almost 12 years ago and has been cutting my husbands hair for almost 30 years. Even now that we live 45 minutes away Dan and Hailey are the people my husband will see for a haircut. Haley was referred to us and was never anything but wonderful and patient, and always gave a him a great cut. Great place to get a hair cut. Dan and Haley are awesome. I get a bald fade every time and the kids(two girls and a boy)get hair cuts also and its spot on. Can't beat the price either.
