I signed a contract for a 30 minute performance with 2 dancers and a fire dance portion. After my contract was signed and my payment made in full the contact Chris tried to change the time then tried to change the service. Fast forward to a week prior and the fire dance was cancelled by Aloha Chicago. I was told to compensate we would have dancers available after the 30 mintues for photos. No option for a refund or longer show when the fire portion was $100 value. The day of the event the dancers only performed 2 songs then took 10 mins on audience participation before making themselves available another 10 minute for photos. In total the 2 song performance was 10 minutes, not 30. The entire experience was infuriating! The result for the price was outrageous. For $500 paid in full more than a month in advance I expected more than 2 songs by the dancers!! I reached out to my contact Chris with zero response still more than a week later.

We worked with Natalie and Krystal to learn a choreographed tango for our first dance at our wedding and they were so full of enthusiasm and warmth all throughout that we knew we were at the best place to create something special and memorable. We were looking for a location primarily in Chicago to learn a choreographed wedding dance just a month out from the special day. Due to the time constraint, most places were skeptical or only wanted to teach the basics. We were referred to Natalie and from the first introduction, you can tell she would not only be fun but also invested in your success and confidence when it comes to the performance. At times, it also felt like a collaboration as Natalie was always open to incorporating our ideas and also didn't shy from challenging us to go bigger with moves we might not have considered but she believed we could accomplish. We switched to working with Krystal midway as Natalie recovered from a broken ankle (but who still showed up!) and it was a seamless transition. We also got extra practice time thanks to Natalie's husband, who also helped capture video, opening the studio while there was a winter storm. There are not enough compliments to give the Move the Beat family for how personable and genuine they all are. Come wedding day, we felt prepared, comfortable and excited to dance thanks to the creativity and instruction from Move the Beat. Their ability to break down, encourage, fine-tune and guide you through everything was natural and great. Well worth the visit from the city!

I have been going here almost my whole life. I cannot express the family I have made in my time…read morehere! The instructors make an effort to connect with you on a personal level and I have become close to many of them. They really care about technique here and, as I have visited other studios, I have noticed that DMA does a really spectacular job. Not only this, but they are really well-rounded. You can get a quality education in ballet, jazz, modern, musical theater, tap, and hip hop with teachers that are great in their field. They are home to even some professionally-affiliated companies like the Chicago Repertory Ballet Youth Ensemble which I was a part of for 2 years, and the Trifecta Youth Ensemble which I have been a part of for a while. No matter what style you're interested in, they have something for you. They have a musical theater program that brings in agents and gives help with self taps from working actors, they have a ballet conservatory, they have hip hop companies, a tap company, jazz company, and a modern company, as well as a mini Glenbrook South poms "prep" company and an Edgebrook All-Stars poms "prep" company. If you just want to take classes with no companies, they have that, too. Don't be fooled, just because they have many different styles doesn't mean they are lesser quality, because DMA puts care into every style they have. As a mainly ballet-lover, I am able to do a variation (dance) en pointe as well as be in the modern company. It's great because even though I did not like ballet as a kid, I grew to love it in the classes I took and was able to decide to take more of them because of the opportunities here. I was even able to go to the YAGP National FInals in Tampa because of the fantastic ballet company. Needless to say, please consider DMA. I am close to being a senior in high school and will cherish the time I had here. I really feel well-prepared as a dancer and a person because of my time here. They really instill in you that a dancer is worth more than their body, the titles they won, or what style they do. To us, dance is an art form and a sport. Interclub Academy of Dance is an amazing dance studio that's right in the middle of everything…read more Convenient location, group and private lessons, adult and children's classes, wedding choreography, dance shows, social dance lessons, competitive dancing, anything you need, they have it. All that takes place in a super fun but professional atmosphere. It is not very often you can put "fun" and "professional" in the same sentence, but here I am. The instructors at Interclub are both extremely professional and fun. You can learn a new and awesome skill while having fun and knowing you are learning from some of the best teachers in the area (current and former winners of many dance competitions). Check them out and you will not regret it!

Get out and Dance!…read more Wanted to take a moment to review our daughter's dance studio - Movement and Sound Dance. She has been enrolled in multiple classes here for the past four years or so (namely tap and jazz). She is excited to go and has made many new friends here. The staff has a ton of experience and work great with the kids. The studio has many different classes for young toddler/pre-k kids all the way up through high school. Lots of enrollment in competition events. Our daughter's class actually just got a Platinum award over the weekend. A few years ago, the owners relocated the studio to the Busch Parkway address. So, the facility is new and updated. Over the past couple years with Covid, they have incorporated many safety protocols as well. They do a good job promoting positivity among the kids and above all having fun! You can't go wrong here, if you have a kid interested in dancing, check it out.

Neither of us had been here before, so it was a little risky not knowing the club at all. There was plenty of parking, and we got there early so we'd have time to chat. Kim, the owner, greeted us as we came into the place, and we immediately felt warmly welcomed and excited to be there! Since I had purchased tickets online, Kim had reserved our seats in advance. She walked us back to the event area, which looked clean and inviting (although it was a little bright for my personal preference). Every seat in the place is a good seat; there were essentially 4 "rows" of seats, with 2 people in 1 row sharing a table, and then 2 people directly behind them sharing the same table. Both acts in the show were hilarious: Kristen Toomey and Chelsea Hood. They both interacted with the audience. We had a fantastic time! Oh, they also offer water, soda, popcorn, and M&M peanuts for purchase. We will definitely be back here to enjoy more comedy! I truly hope this place finds success in Glenview and stays a very long time!
