We went in to buy cat food for our pet and had a great interaction with one of the associates who was friendly, helpful, and even mentioned that the case we were buying was currently on sale. She went out of her way to assist us, and we genuinely appreciated her positive attitude. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn at the checkout. There was only one cashier working, and she seemed quite grumpy--not just towards us, but also to several male customers in line, and even one female customer. When it was our turn, the cashier scanned the item and charged us full price. We politely mentioned that it was on sale, and her response was rude and accusatory. She asked if we were "pulling a fast one" and said she didn't believe us. It was completely unnecessary and left us feeling disrespected. My wife noticed how the cashier was directing the attitude mostly toward me and stepped in to defend me. At that point, we decided not to push further. We returned the item and left to shop elsewhere. It's frustrating because customers come in expecting at least basic courtesy, especially in retail where staff represent the face of the business. If someone doesn't want to be in that role or take pride in their job, they should consider a different line of work. No one deserves to be treated with attitude while trying to shop. I hope management at this location addresses this and puts more focus on supporting staff with proper training and expectations. Good customer service makes all the difference.

I had dropped off an itchy and smelling-like-dead-fish, shaggy ragamuffin of a dog at whom park snobs would point and snicker, "what kinda --doodle's THAT?" That's why I didn't recognize Tallulah when she emerged from Camille's salon so brushed up and out, her Afro puff bouncing with her every prance, that on the way home a dog-walker ran up to me and gushed, "what a gorgeous Portuguese Water Dog! She's obviously a show dog." This morning, when I chaperoned Tallulah on her "promenade through the park", I felt like I should have dressed up, with a top hat--and maybe a monocle--but definitely a walking stick with a huge gem on its handle.' Who needs that? It's a hassle and I hold Camille completely responsible for sculpting Tallulah into this attention-demanding diva. Her new stans would be mortified to discover Tallulah's nothing but a dolled-up bernedoodle with heady airs and a shiny coat. All that aside, Camille is a talented groomer who always makes Tallulah look and smell wonderful. I would recommend her to anyone, although not to everyone because it's already hard enough to get an appointment with her.

Although both of them have had grooming appointments every month since we got them, Blue just wasn't a fan. After a year of hurtful and really negative feedback I contacted No Bones About It and was encouraged by the owner ( who is amazing and lovely) to come in so they could give Blue a try. Not only did the girl feed the cat, play with the cat, clean the litter, etc, she also watered our plants, brought in our mail, took out the garbage, swept up the cat fur upstairs, etc Really went above and beyond. And every day she would leave a voicemail on this system they have setup, which then uses Google Talk to translate the vmail into an email, which is auto-sent to me, which I could check on my iPad while overseas to keep on with the progress. On top of all this, they were WAYYYY cheaper than the old cat sitter we used to use when we lived in the Annex. Overall top notch. Highly recommended. They will totally be our pet sitters going forward.
