I needed someone trustworthy, reliable, and capable of dealing with my very active dogs (a hound and a Siberian Husky cross). I was referred to Leading Ladies by another dog walker. Within a couple of hours of our initial phone call, Kala, the owner of Leading Ladies, arrived at our home for an intake visit (to determine if our dogs, our needs and her situation would be a good fit). Friendly and personable, Kala impressed my husband and I with her experience, understanding of dogs, and clear business practices. Most importantly, the dogs (who can sometimes be a bit shy with strangers) warmed up to her immediately, without hesitation. My hound even lay down and relaxed right beside her. I am impressed with Kala's vibe, experience, professionalism, and love of animals. The dogs will go for a test run with Kala and her crew of Leading Ladies in a few days. I will update this review after that experience, but I am hopeful and confident that this will work out well for all concerned. Leading Ladies gets 5 Woofs from our dogs, and 5 stars from me.

She even provided daily status updates about our cat which was quite nice and reassuring since our cat doesn't do well with strangers. I highly recommend her services especially if you live in the downtown core!

I have come across this dog walker's vehicle in the neighbourhood (with dogs in the back seat)…read moreparked right up on the sidewalk completely blocking the path for pedestrians. Last week I stopped to chat with her to ask if she would use a proper parking spot as she is inconveniencing people walking around our neighbourhood especially those with strollers (like myself) or mobility issues. I explained to her that it was both difficult and unsafe for me to have to take my stroller onto the road because she chooses to park on the sidewalk. Instead of moving her vehicle she leaned on the front of her car and explained to me that while she knew how to parallel park, she would probably keep parking on the sidewalk as it was easier for her, and that I would just have to deal with it. She even suggested that if I didn't want to take my baby and stroller on to the road that I could go up and over the neighbour's lawn to get around her parked vehicle. Roncy is wonderful neighbourhood and for the most part the local business are friendly, respectful and lovely to interact with. It's a shame when a business comes in to the neighbourhood and has no respect for the people that live here. I can't comment on the quality of the dog walking as I have only see the dogs in the back of the vehicle.
