The gals here are awesome. Very friendly and they take very good care of your pets. I brought my friend and her dog that is a Chiweenie named Reilly to get his nails clipped. Very reasonable. My two Morkies needed grooming and this place was recommended to me by a neighbor who also uses it. Because they are both senior dogs (age 16 years) it's important that they are treated with care by the groomers, and not kept more time in the cage than necessary. A regular grooming session usually lasts about two hours, and most groomers give their first appointments to the senior dogs so that they don't get stressed out. Due to a rescheduled appointment I unfortunately couldn't get the first appointment, and was told that the time for pickup would be at least 3-4 hours, longer than I had hoped. It actually was closer to 4 1/2 hours, and they both looked good. Not sure if we will return unless I get the first appointment. Also, they only accept cash or a check. read more

Our small dog was groomed numerous time at this location and he always came back handsome and happy, I acquired my sons American Bull about 4 months ago, after the care I received with our small dog I entrusted my American Bull there for bath and nails, and I must say she was treated like a Queen, this groomer is 25 minutes away from me now, but I will continue to take my girl for the ride in the car she loves to have her groomed at this Groomers. They care they gave her was outstanding, I also like the policy of only one dog in the reception intake at a time, as my pup has anxiety with other dogs. I took my dog here and the 1st grooming was great. Second time was OK, even brought a neighbor and her pup to get a grooming. The 3rd time was horrible.  When I went to pick him up they said they had a very difficult time with him, even with the bath.  They brought him out and his legs had not been clipped, the body clipping was very uneven.  Was told that he was very difficult - he wouldn't let them do his legs, etc. He has a problem with his legs, which they knew about from the previous visits - he doesn't like them messed with - pulled on - and sometimes has difficulty standing for extended periods of time.  They didn't bother calling me to come back to see what was going on - no call until he was supposedly done, after nearly 4 hours. When I got there and they brought him out I was very upset.  I wound up holding him so they could properly finish his grooming, they wanted to send him home without doing his legs.  He was totally stressed out.   I figured he was having a bad day, maybe not their fault, and called to make another appointment for him about 6 weeks later.  Left message for a call-back, which came at around 8 a.m. next day.  I told them what I wanted and they said the groomer who usually does him was not working and they would contact her and get back to me that same day.  NEVER heard back... Groomer never called - I called again, and was basically told by the owner that they didn't think they could handle him - then finally spoke with the groomer who had been doing him and she said he was too difficult. So - now I think it wasn't him having a bad day - but more like how they handled him at his last grooming.  If he gave them a hard time starting with the bath, they should have let me know.  He is a very happy pup - loves everyone - never had this kind of issue before.  Instead of letting me know right away - they just went ahead and totally stressed him - which could have been avoided. read more

PET LOVER BEWARE!!! Both of my babies ended up with severe ear infections after being groomed at the Barking Lot. Not only do they not clean the ears and remove hair, they don't even bother to take precautions of excessive water getting in the dog's ear while bathing or bother to dry the ears after bathing. Ear infections in dogs are extremely painful to our babies as well as expensive to treat at the Vet. SHAME ON THE BARKING LOT!! read more

I'll start by saying that I am a little intense when I comes to my dogs for various reasons. I first went to the Barking Lot at my mothers recommendation. I normally just bring my dogs to the vet and have their nails trimmed there -- as you can imagine, that gets expensive. The first time I took them, I called and asked a few questions -- do I need an appointment, etc. The woman who answered was lovely and answered all my questions. They do walk in nail trimmings during certain hours on the weekend. Perfect! After arriving with my two dogs, they were quick to greet them and super friendly. My larger dog has pretty severe anxiety and requires some extra help to get his nailed trimmed. This women went so far above and beyond -- they sat on the floor, laid on the floor, let my fiancé back there with them to calm my dog. It was a quick and positive experience. With my smaller dog, he is sensitive to his feet being touched and can be a little nippy. They were able to get his nails nice and short. I couldn't be happier. When it was time to check out, I was stunned with how reasonable it was for the two dogs given the amount of extra attention they needed. I cannot day enough kind things about them. We've been there several times since and have only had good experiences. read more

this place y'all....... the BEST. amazing prices. i have an all white malshi. he's my child, my baby; i'm madly in love with this amazing little being, but his hair is crazy to deal with. mats immediately after brushing. took him in to get groomed in terrible condition. his flea medication was not working and he had chewed his back. waited to let it heal before messing with his hair at all. i had attempted to cut out some mats myself so his hair was crazy uneven. they just completely transformed him. they're the best. i'll never ever go anywhere else. and he comes out happy and not scared. i like that he has free roam in there and isn't locked in a cage when he's done. read more

Truly a great place to get your pets groomed. The entire staff is experienced, kind and thoughtful. They greet you and your dogs as if you are a part of their family. I am quite particular about my dogs grooming needs as they are long hair dachshunds and we've had bad groomers. I explained in detail exactly what I wanted done and the woman who checked us in was very attentive and asked good questions to understand. Both of my boys were done in two hours and the groomer brought them out and went over their trims and made sure I was pleased with the final cut. They look amazing! I could not have had a better first time experience. The only thing to note is this a CASH ONLY business so make sure you stop at the bank before you bring them in! read more
