Don't waste your time! Tried to call to give them work. No one answers the phone and it's certainly within the business hours posted online for them. Instead of reaching someone, I'm told by a fake accent on an answering machine to leave a message. REALLY? Then on the website, I get Darlene via live chat who cannot answer a single question but wants me to provide detail after detail about myself and why I'm calling them as though I'm interrupting THEM. Landlord tenant dispute. Landlord kept my security deposit among other issues. My final attorney bill was just over $53,000. I paid $6,650 out of pocket, judge awarded just under $33,000 in attorney fees. I walked away without my security deposit and without my out of pocket cash of $6,650.00 while this firm made just under $40,000. My attorney is young but his leader is not and has lots of experience. I wasn't looking to get rich I was standing up for myself. My goal was to get my deposit and cash I had paid to my attorney back. Issues that mattered in court were matters that would award attorney fees. What happened to me and what I experienced didn't matter. I wanted to teach my landlord a lesson not realizing I would be learning a lesson Very disappointed ! I thought my best interest was their goal, I was wrong, it was the best interest for the law firm that mattered! I will say this rating is for the firm, not the attorney that handled the case. My attorney put his heart into my case. I am a small business owner and hesitated to write this review. Greed was not my motivation in this case but had zero expectations of it costing me what it did. My frustration deepened when I learned the defendant sold property and the firm is getting paid very soon and I walked away without my security deposit and minus $6,650.00. read more

I have had two cases handled by the firm. The first was a lawsuit against a former employer and individuals involved in what I believe was an unfair termination for (they claimed) was incompetence. I strongly disagreed and felt that this determination was defamatory and adversely affected my search for future employment. I talked to about 40 law firms overall and could get no interest at all in taking the case. I tried to file it myself and reached a point where I didn't know how to proceed and could not get sufficient advice. I finally got two firms to consider my case if I would provide a retainer fee: one for $10,000 and the other for $15,000. I accepted with gratitude the $10,000 offer from the Bartinik firm. My lawyer showed interest in my case unlike all the others. We had productive and friendly meetings where he took voluminous notes. He sent me a copy of the brief (motion) he had prepared which I felt was well written. I must emphasize that a lawsuit is not a "done deal" in my opinion. By that I mean that even though you feel that you are absolutely justified in relief, and you have a good lawyer, there is NO guarantee that you will win. My limited experience is that judges vary in their decisions and juries do too including how much is awarded if anything. So you are left to the opinions of these individuals which could favor your opposition. I felt even before I started that I was gambling the $10,000 to make more money, but that I could lose it and not get anything. I did want to "teach them a lesson" and show them how I felt about what they did to me. Furthermore, I wanted to put this lawsuit on their record (the individuals named) along with other lawsuits so that my employer would not be apt to promote them into positions where they could do more damage to others. This turned out to be largely successful. I was never promised returns on my investment by Bartinik other than a competent representation. It turned out that the judge made an extremely unfair decision in dismissing my case. My lawyer said he was surprised (as was I) since I did comply with what the judge asked me to do for the case to continue. My lawyer felt that an appeal would be a waste of money because it wouldn't succeed. My personal feeling is that the judge had a personal relationship (even friendship) with the opposing attorney (who I found out used to be a public defender)...this from how the judge addressed him in court. I am disappointed in the outcome, but I blame the judge completely and not Bartinik. I don't even think the judge read my personal arguments which I spent a great deal of time researching. I felt that my case would have been a landmark case regarding the defamation that occurs when someone is unfairly terminated. My second case had to do with a traffic accident. I had a collision with a student on the URI campus. The student told me he wanted to move to a parking lot to wait for the police. I tried to follow him, but he disappeared. I finally stopped about 300 yards away trying to follow a car that I thought was him. The police gave me a ticket for leaving the scene of the accident. Bartinik took the case. He felt I was innocent but that a jury trial would be costly and could possibly end up in a judgement against me. I pleaded "no contest" rather than "guilty". I was advised that even though I could be innocent, that proving so would be costly and possibly go against me. Once again, I am at the mercy of the opinions of judges and juries. They might not "see it my way". Appeals are expensive too. The best way out might be just to agree that you made a mistake and learn from it. It's unfair to admit guilt when you know in your heart that your motives were innocent. Bartinik worked out a deal for me with the prosecution regarding a fine and they exempted me (probably due to age) from having to perform community service. Once again, I am (financially) disappointed by the result. However, the mistake is mine and not Bartinik's. Also, the super nasty cop who wrote the ticket(s) was really the reason for my trouble. He would believe absolutely nothing I said and implied that everything I was doing had an illegal motive. I think he lied to me too about having cameras everywhere. Peter J. Bartinik Jr. is not a attorney you want to use. He doesn't listen to his clients nor does he want to actually put any work into the case. He just wants a easy check and doesn't care what happens to you. I went to a new attorney about July and never heard anything from Peter til today (so roughly 6 months not a year) threating to take me to small claims court. I'm awaiting a invoice of what he actually did or claims he did for me. read more

Absolutely Amazing!!!!!!! Peter Bartinik Jr. was able to assist me with two criminal court matters. 1) Dissolving a standing criminal protective order; and 2) Terminating probation approx. 3 years early. Attorney Bartinik spent more time than expected working on my case, and was patient while working with the judge and the district attorney at GA 10. In the end, the criminal protective order was completely removed, and my probation was terminated 3 years early, thus allowing me to begin the pardon process. I could not have achieved these results without Mr. Bartinik advocating on my behalf. Additionally, Attorney Bartinik is also representing me in a civil matter.
