It wasn't until he got home that we realized that a fade wasn't given. Instead, the hair was buzzed very short, up high on the back and sides. There was no fading at all. He was embarrassed to be seen with this cut because it wasn't what he'd asked for, and his friends at school joked and teased him about how bad it looked. His hair is curly on top, and the back part of his perm was cut unevenly. I had to take him to another stylist to even it out and try to salvage the style. Honestly, not much could be done by the second stylist because too much hair was buzzed in the back and sides. Essentially, his hair was buzzed high up in the back and sides. It looks like a military buzz cut, high up in the back and sides, as you would receive in boot camp. With his heavy curls on top, it looks like an uneven bowl cut on top. I'm very disappointed and will never return to or recommend this establishment to anyone. **** I noticed the owner tried to say that this was a Bot post. Sadly, they are trying to dismiss this post as being generated instead of being a genuine post. It was completely constructed in a very unprofessional manner. My 14-year-old grandson, who went to the hair salon alone because my husband just passed away, did not realize how horrible the haircut actually was until he arrived home. Upon his arrival home, I was able to see and show him with a mirror how horrible the haircut was. I then had to make an appointment to pay another stylist at another salon to fix the disaster that the hairstylist at Black Lace Hair Salon created. The hairstylist that we took him to, in order to fix the style and correct the mess that was made, stated that this was one of the top five worst haircuts that they had ever seen. The owner of Black Lace Hair Salon can try to dismiss this post and try to make it out as being a Scam post or a Bot post all that they would like. However, this is a genuine post. All together, when you add up what I paid for the first haircut and then what I paid to have the other stylist to do the best they could to correct the mistakes made, the entire ordeal ended up costing me $80. The haircut he received at this salon negatively affected my grandson's self-esteem, it was a completely unacceptable salon experience. The mature thing would be to accept responsibility for their mistake and move forward responsibly. However, it seems as though they are more concerned with trying to dismiss this legitimate Review and sweep it under the rug. *** (To clarify, in case some were wondering, the Hair Salon knew ahead of time that I was sending my grandson there by himself. I called them to notify them of this, and was told that this was completely fine.)
