Cyndi was absolutely helpful and knowledgeable in the vintage wine section :) DC and I were looking for something expensive for our uncle's milestone birthday celebration next week. We were instantly sold when she show us the Caymus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon ($103.95). She also lead us to her favourite picks from the same vineyard - the Meiomi Pinot Noir ($26.95) was very delightful wine, and the Mer Soleil Chardonnay ($34.95). Great recommendations! She said anything that Caymus touches turn to gold lmao. Now I am curious to try that $100 bottle of Cab Sauv ;) Someone get me that for my birthday please lol.

The other Saturday, I walked in and a woman offered me a sample sip of some craft beer from Sarnia. It was amazing. I immediately got a bottle for $6.50. I am more a coconut rum and Coke girl. I have plenty of rum at home. So, I often come here for either a wine with fruity notes or beer. The cider beverages intrigued me. I tried the pear and spiced rum varieties. The pear cider was excellent. I have yet to try the spiced rum. Don't forget to use your Air Miles card to collect points here. As usual, you get all your booze in paper bags. (230)

This LCBO is a new addition up in A-town (that would be Aurora). It's situated right in the middle…read moreof a mini plaza complex which is kinda odd placement, but who cares as it does it job. It's clean and well organized and all the staff are friendly. Surprisingly even during the day there are quite a few staff on the floor so you never have to go searching for help. It is a bit smaller than other LCBOs but it had everything you need for a great evening...or a great afternoon (who am I to judge when you start drinking...it's 5pm somewhere!)

We found out the card was redeemed in Toronto, yet my son was in Ottawa! I called and explained what happened and the person I spoke to said that someone would get back to me. I wasn't hopeful. But then, I got an email from Frank Perry at The Beer Store in Mississauga saying they would be reimbursing us for the gift card - and giving us an extra $10 for the trouble of having to call in!! Apparently, they have had some trouble with people hacking into their gift card system, so I guess we weren't the only one they heard from. I was so happy with the good customer service. Gift cards are like cash and they might have just told us we were out of luck, but to my surprise, they believed us and we got our money back! Thanks so much, Frank!
