The wines sort of sprawl diagonally from centre. The signage at least helps. The shelves are usually well stocked. There's an adequate amount of staff on the ground if you need any help. I've found the floor staff pretty knowledgeable about the characteristics and differences between various brands. I like that LCBO always has some good sales on a few products at any given time. I've been known to try new brands of liqueurs and wines when I see those tags promoting the sale items. They do have a cooler section if you head to the far end of the store. The selection of locked up, premium items isn't too extensive, but you will find several brain damage price vintages for extra special occasions. I find the displays at the checkouts a little wanting. They have nice boxes and bags that are behind the checkouts for some reason, rather than before where you can see and select something before you pay. It could all be organized better. The service is often... slow. Even if there are several checkouts open, and fewer customers than open lines, it takes minutes before you begin to get processed. I appreciate that they never fail to ask about your rewards cars. If slow, service is usually polite if not friendly. I'm glad to have a solid LCBO like this nearby for my boozing needs ;)

I am giving the food at the restaurant 3 starts, however, the speed of the kitchen gets ZERO!! The servers get 1 start. The food: the selection is not vast but it is nicely put together. There is something on the menu for everyone. Beef, chicken, gluten free which is rare to see on a mine so good for them. The servers: I was here two separate times for dinner and every time it seemed that they were understaffed. While the servers are friendly they wait so long to come and greet you or to take your order. The restaurant was never full but the service was always slow, slow, slow. The Kitchen: they take the cake and the icing. We waited 25 minutes for a Cesar salad! The lava cake desert which looked like it was frozen them microwaved took almost half an hour! We found out the card was redeemed in Toronto, yet my son was in Ottawa! I called and explained what happened and the person I spoke to said that someone would get back to me. I wasn't hopeful. But then, I got an email from Frank Perry at The Beer Store in Mississauga saying they would be reimbursing us for the gift card - and giving us an extra $10 for the trouble of having to call in!! Apparently, they have had some trouble with people hacking into their gift card system, so I guess we weren't the only one they heard from. I was so happy with the good customer service. Gift cards are like cash and they might have just told us we were out of luck, but to my surprise, they believed us and we got our money back! Thanks so much, Frank!
