The review is an accurate account, it is in no way intended to be disrespectful of the venue.
Made a booking at The Belmore on New Year Eve for dinner. Booking made for 20:00. Setting and venue was lovely, and the atmosphere was really appealing. No issues with ordering drinks, as the service was quick and well dealt with.
Went through for the meal, ordered starters, which leaves a lot to be desired, spring rolls were huge, and the pate, although not bad, left a lot to the imagination. The main meal, ordered Rib eye Steaks, both medium, one of them arrived closer to rare, and the other was barely medium, however on the limit of edible. The menu stated fries, and when they arrived they were frozen chips, although cooked, for a special event expected slightly better.
As mentioned at the outset, there is no malice in this review, and there was a reduction, and continual attention from the waiting staff, asking if the meal was adequate. and a reduction on the bill at the end due to the Steak being under cooked. But has certainly put me off returning to the venue, certainly for food. read more
