Yeah it was ok, a bit Fawlty Towers, but canny enough. Parking behind, and a room with a telly and a kettle :-)
The shower door hit the toilet seat when you oened the door, and when you..ahemwere sitting on the loo the paper was in your left armpit, and trying to extract it while sitting down caused the seat to slip gut wrenchingly sideways.
All good fun!
Getting to the room was a pain with a big suitcase though. Up a steps to the lobby, up another flight to the landing once checked in, right up 3 more steps, through a door, along a passagem turn left, then right then through another door, then down some steps, through another door and there! Phew! All within the space of a few hundred yards.
The food was good, if the restaurant was dated. There was me and 4 others eating in there, and we all ate in silence facing in different directions. Funny :-)
The waitress couldn't quite believe I wasn't interested in the cooked breakfast, and the lady owner piped up a little later (she was ear wigging) do you not like breakfast? Oh yes! I said, but I only want toast, fruit, a yoghurt and some coffee today! Is that too freaky? Is there something strange about NOT stuffing yourself with a greasy spoon EVERY day???
Ah well, they were nice enough. read more
