Have you ever bought something you were so sure you were going to love, and after you got it, no matter how hard you tried to love it, you just couldn't? That's this place. Brief Summary: The Big Melt Society is a restaurant that serves an array of burgers, gyros, and a few other items. The pictures online make everything look super enticing, but, we've all heard the old saying before. "You don't judge a book by its cover". Would I Recommend This Restaurant? Yes if you need something quick to eat in a pinch. No if I'm recommending must try restaurants in the area. The Food: I ordered a mushroom burger and a beef and lamb gyro and both were.......okay. Neither of them was bad, but they also weren't great. Let's start with the burger. I ordered the burger medium rare, and they absolutely nailed it. Couldn't have been a better temperature. The caramelized onions on it though just hadn't been cooked long enough, and still had that raw onion punch to it. The sauce on it was good, but the meat itself was just lacking a good strong flavor. The key to a great burger is in the meat blend and the seasoning. It wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it also wasn't anything that makes me feel like I have to go back for another. I was also surprised that my burger didn't come with any sides. No fries or anything. The gyro was pretty much the same deal. It was okay. It had some good flavors, but the amount of stuff that actually went into it was on the skimpy side. Service and Staff: I ordered delivery, so there isn't much to say about the service or staff. The food was packaged nicely, and everything got to us in a timely manner. They also included a free cookie as a way to say thank you, which I thought was a pretty nice touch. Location and Interior: N/A (Takeout) Final Thoughts: This place has a lot of potential. Overall, the food here is okay, but that's all it is, and that makes me sad. Because food should be something that draws out your emotion and makes your senses go wild by tasting and smelling it, and you just don't quite get that here. I would ABSOLUTELY try this place again. I'm all for giving places second chances to improve. This restaurant may not have earned a perfect score in this review, but they did earn a second chance for sure!
