I rang twice in the week and couldn't get to speak to a salesperson. Finally got through on Wednesday to a different salesperson and asked them to mud guard the bike. Was told that's fine. The bike was sold to someone else by Friday pick up. Hollingsworth said they'd call me back within half an hour as they tried to source the bike elsewhere. I rang back four hours later and was told sales staff were on the floor. Do not shop here.

Given that Dublin is full of grimy little bike shops that mainly do repairs and have a small…read moreselection of bikes that you can hardly see because they're so tightly packed, whereas the bigger shops in the suburbs like Eurocycles or Cycle Superstore look like they're printed off a CAD-CAM app screen with no personal touch... this place ends up being one of the best bicycle shops in Dublin. The bikes are well displayed and easy to see and try out, there's a reasonably good selection, and the owner is very knowledgeable - which counts for a lot. Nor does she try to take over your life while giving you advice - unlike other bike shop owners I have encountered in this town!

He sized me up and asked me about my plans, picked a great Giant road bike to use, gave me great advice about my destinations. I even randomly met up with him the next day riding in Phoenix Park! Well I have not had any problems and havnt even needed the first check-up-the bikes brilliant. Really great bike shop and top-class service. The owner is a real good guy-type. Do anything for you. BTW, I had to actually warn the owner about his tendency to do free favors to customers and give free-stuff, as he could never survive being so decent. He just smiled back being the absolute gentlemen he is.

To be fair to them, once you get inside, tis a different story altogether. It's a fairly big warehouse space full of all types of wheels, and a separate section dedicated to cycle accessories and clothes. To be honest though, it's not that good. I don't know much about bikes, but the selection seemed to be heavily based on men's racers and mountain bikes. Not much in the way of women's or alternatives like fixies or hybrids. My main gripe though was that I must have been there for 15 mins, wandering round, wanting to part with my hard earned cash, but not knowing where to begin. In all that time, ain't no one came over and chatted with me or asked if they could help. In the end, I gave up and left. Customer service is key folks! You can have all the annoying jingle ads in the world to get people to your shop, but if you can't help em when they're there, well what's the point!!!

I spent 260 euro for repair that lasted 12 days…read more I picked my ebike from repair on 10th November. I had spokes installed in front wheel, rear wheel rebuild and ensure brake discs are screwed properly. It's now 22nd November and my rear brake disc just became completely loose. On 22 Aug, after shop replaced my brake pads, I came back to the shop right away to tell that the brakes do not feel right and the young lad completely brushed me off. I believe that initial improper repair of the breaks is what's caused the issues, not the quality of the parts. Subsequently I had to leave the bike for another repair. There are other issue with most recent repair: they failed to fasten cable harness back and failed to mention that they chose wider rim for rear wheel than original, effectively forcing me into replacing tires as well. I'm still going to replace tyres, as I believe that I had to rebuild my rear wheel due to too wide tyre installed on the rear wheel. I asked the shop to "Check if bigger tyre would work" according to wording on my receipt. Shop has chosen the tires that started rubbing the rear fork and destroyed my rear rim. I didn't ask for specific tire model. I did ask for wider tires. I didn't think I'll need to add "wider tires that wont destroy my bike". Why would I trust you guys to do anything in my bike, if you install parts that are definitely not fit for purpose. You called me back after rebuilding the rim to tell me that the tyre is too wide. Why you didn't tell me that when you originally installed the tyre and I asked that question? Very unsatisfied with shoddy workmanship in the shop.

Suggestions have been made on maintenance and parts and they asked the questions required to perform the appropriate service. I bought an Irish rugby jersey here for our disappointing last World Cup. I had to buy it in kids, age 10. How embarrassing is that?! Now, I'm twenty-three, five foot nine (and a half, mind you,) and I weight nearly seventy kilos. I demand that Canterbury present to me a ten year old that size. Now. See, they can't! Still, it's a good gag, I've gotta give it to them there. They really had me on that one. I suppose it's in the ethos of the sport too, so fair play, fair play. The staff here are friendly, it's Irish owned and they know there stuff in particular when it comes to rugby stuff. Four stars. *and Dad's but it doesn't sound as good that way :)

Not that there's much, it's a fairly small space. And they've taken up outside with Jansport bags (very nice for backpacks or what have you, but in space this small, you'd think they'd want to minimise superfluity, not expand it...) They've got the basics I admit, gumshields, rugby shirts, shin pads and the like. Not the best range of footwear, which, unless you do something like martial arts or swimming is kind of a big deal) and their swimwear isn't the broadest choice either, which is odd considering that one of the biggest clubs in Ireland is based around 10 minutes away so you'd think that could be a bit of a draw. My advice? Go to Lifestyle in Dún Laoghaire.
