Came in the first time on a lark: stopped in town for a nosh and a sweet after looking at a trailer up the road a piece and on my after-luncheon constitutional I happened across this trove of treasures. Looking through the glass I spied more and better items than I've seen in my wanderings of late; even those items that run contrary to my tastes are appealing for their substance if not their styling. I stepped inside half looking for a bright wall sized piece for the living room and found everything else instead. Jeff and I exchanged pleasantries and a few adjectives as we discussed the variety of items and how this all got to North Carolina. Turns out that the items in store come from clients across the country with the possible exception of the upper plains. Urns, vases, and statuary; period furniture and screens; silks, oils, prints and water colors... capturing all manner of subjects from wood ducks to orchids to the human form. In a blow molded world with press board bases and faux finishes Stately Homes houses an assortment of enduring and endearing objects.
