I chose Shimmer Salon because it was close to my home and had good reviews. I was able to schedule my haircut online with Yelina. I loved everything about my first time visit with Yelina that I have been back two other times for haircuts with her. The salon is on the main floor of this old house and I love that, like many businesses in Ocala. It is always clean and neat when I visit. Yelina always does a great job with shampooing, conditioning, and cutting my hair. Yelina also always finds a way to keep the volume in my hair and cut it so it looks like a new haircut for at least a month afterwards. Yelina is also quick, maybe because I'm simple with my requests. There are several other hair stylists here and they also have a tattoo studio. They have blowout memberships and products for sale. The hours are better than most salons in the area and they have their own parking lot. FYI, if you are staring at the building from the street, it's the lot on the left side, not next to the apartment complex.

She is very sweet and personable. But more importantly, she gave me a cut that I love. She asked many questions to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted then proceeded to give me what I described. I highly recommend her and as I said I will be going back.
