I am originally from Little Rock Arkansas and I when I was planning my trip I knew that this was on the top of my list of things to do. When I first arrived I pulled into the parking area and the parking was free to the left! We ended up parking a little ways away but it was okay because the walk wasn't bad. There is a cute park on the way if you have littles. When I first walked in they had dogs to adopt (greyhounds) and they were the sweetest dogs. Then I walked into the farmers market and they were farmers there with all of their produce. I ended up buying blood Oranges from K Hall. I was a little bummed because they didn't have fresh flowers because that's what I wanted. They had someone selling soaps, purses clothes etc. We walked inside of the building that has all of the food. We ended up buying a cookie from Bea Bakery and get a cup for water. It was very smoky in there but cool. The farmers market isn't big at all. I wish that they had more samples for people to try. Overall cute little farmers market.

You can always find cheese, hummus, corn bread, honey, banana bread, vegan brisket (hmm...) and a chicken that plays a xylophone. Yep, that last part is worth going for, at least once, by itself. This is a trained chicken, raised by hilariously charming chicken tamer. There's usually a good truck or two for food, and Mylo sets up a truck for coffee too!

There is a vendor who makes dog treats that seem to be a hit with my dogs, and so much more. SOMA is a great area to explore. Parking is a bit of an issue but if you get out and walk you see some really cool old houses and can visit several great local stores.

She prepared a lovely charcuterie board for us with such a variety of unique and inspired flavors, textures and colors. Hearing her story and seeing her little farm was such a treat! We were lucky enough to meet her family also. They all were so warm and friendly and we left feeling like we were family also! Her adorable grandkids are so helpful and are learning to be her very knowledgeable apprentices. I hope to be able to return to take a cooking class or come to one of her High Tea events. Seeing her space and hearing her visions for her business was a high point of our time in LR!
