Based purely on the website the suits looked a cut above the rest literally. I mentioned this shop to my other half and he said this was where his dad purchased his first suit and was known for suiting up some infamous East End gangsters! I made contact via email and my enquiry was quickly responded to. The shop gets incredibly busy especially with wedding fittings so they only take appointments. The chaps serving us couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. They were great for an extra opinion too as they really knew their stuff. We went for the grey 3 piece Worcester and also hired black shoes which really made the boys look extra sharp. For the dad's we also hired shirts. The actual hire was very painless. Collection the Thursday before the wedding and drop off the Monday after. Really excellent customer service and a great selection of suits.

Their staff keeps churning so you rarely have a single point of contact. Seems like the person who took my measurement had no or poor experience at doing this (had to take it twice). As part of any custom tailoring process I went there for the fitting. The suit jacket was way off so they made the markings and called me another day. Went again, same problem. Took marking again and then delivered it next day. Now, I don't even live in London but fell for the Saville Row branding and kept going there. The end result was a horribly stitched suit that literally has a hunchback. Very amateur stitching. I don't' (and can't) wear them so it's a waste of lot of money and time and energy. You would be better off buying a ready to wear suit from M&S (literally) than trying Cad & The Dandy.

The guys are very friendly - nothing like the stuffy experience you expect to get from a typical tailor. For people like me who've never had a suit made for them before, it removed the nervousness immediately and I wasn't made to feel like a moron! I visited on a Thursday (to check out my options for morning dress) for a Friday pickup and Sunday wedding. Normally a three day hire, they were flexible enough to let me walk out of there with it that same day. In addition, they were open for the bank holiday (to return the item), and despite a martini spill on the waistcoat, they gave me 100% deposit with no hassle. Most importantly, the fit was excellent. I was skeptical about the wide width of the pants (I'm used to a more modern cut of trousers), but they were correct, it did fit in with most attendees. The coat itself fit perfect, and did not appear tired or sloppy like other rentals. I also did a price compare, and Lipman was the least expensive option! But most importantly, I didn't look as though I'd rented anything!

I searched around the big savile row tailors and enquired about made-to-measure and bespoke suit prices. To be honest, their prices were way out of my budget range (£2000+) and as it was my first tailored suit, I was worried about the stuffiness in some of the other tailors that I had heard about. I then starting doing some research on Google, looking at reviews etc for other non-savile row tailors in the £1000-1500 range. I narrowed it down to a few tailors, one of which was Henry Herbert which I decided to go for after reading favourable reviews. Obviously getting a wedding suit made is a huge thing and you are essentially putting your trust in someone you have never met before. I have to say that Charlie who I dealt with was absolutely superb fitting in around work to come to the Savile Row office that he shares with another tailor. I came in a couple of times to pick a fabric, then once I decided to go ahead I had 2 fittings (each about 20 mins each to fit around work). There are some final tweaks happening and then the final suit will be delivered. It probably took a couple of months from start to finish. The suit looks superb a beautiful midnight blue cloth, and I also got a shirt made as well. The difference between the suit I came in and the one being made was obvious. Im sure the final result will be absolutely superb. Happy to give a reference. Highly recommended.

I looked at quite a few shops that sold suits over at Brent Cross Shopping Centre before settling on Moss. It was the combination of value for money and more importantly exceptional service that persuaded me in the end. The person that served me obviously new what he was talking about and was clearly very skilled in his ability to deal with customers. He wasn't in the least bit pushy and genuinely tried to understand what it was that I (as a customer) was looking for. It's a level of service that sadly I don't often come across on the high street. I won't pretend to know a lot about buying suits but Moss do stock a large amount of quality brands. Many of which are what I consider to be reasonably priced. I know I've already mentioned this, but I want to stress again that the staff that I dealt with here are really helpful. I would definitely shop here again.
