A nice change from the generic t-shirt/souvenir shops in the area. The quality of the products offered are much better here! My partner and I left with 2 hats and a t-shirt. There is a cool train set above-head with a running train. read more

My family and I vacation in OC MD but were visiting Chincoteague for the day and I wanted to do shopping and see the ponies. I was planning on going to multiple stores, but after going here I didn't really need to go anywhere else. They have everything here you can think of from clothing, to stuffed animals and other kiddy items, trinkets like magnets, shot glasses, jellies, craft jewelry, home decor, etc. You could spend over an hour in this store it's huge. The outside is decorated cute also and made for photo ops with the hand carved horse bench and the bear in the bikini. I ended up buying 2 crab items, a light up glass crab and a heavy glass blown crab. They were pretty reasonably priced too. The lady working at the counter was very nice as well and tried to wrap my fragile items in a lot of bubble wrap. There was some shirt I wanted but they didn't have my size but she double checked for me. Now I just have to get my husband to not drive crazy and break it on the way home. I said if he breaks it he's going back to get me another one. This might be our new tradition to come here every year on a rainy/cloudy day. I would definitely come back here if we do. read more

We came to the island in November and it was a launch weekend. The shop had everything 50% off and while so much was already gone they still had a wide array of cards and Christmas items as well as island shirts and jackets. We spent about an hour in the store shopping and really loved all the unique gifts. I imagine this store is a lot of fun in season and has a lot to offer. We plan to come back and will be visiting the brant when we are in town! I did love taking advantage of all the 50% off items so if you are here on the off-season make sure to make a stop and scoop up the deals! They had things out from all seasons! The Brant is a huge tourist shop but in a good way. I lived at the beach in DE and MD for a few years, and this is a high end beach shop. Yes you have your tees and other clothes (which are actually reasonably priced). They also have paintings, cookware, Christmas ornaments, jewelry and other interesting gifts. It's basically like walking the OC or Rehobeth boardwalk in one store. The clerks working there are very friendly and if you can't find something your looking for, they will take you to it or order it for you. Yes, you might be able to save a dollar or two running around the island, but this is the worth the visit. read more

Awesome store!! They have a huge selection of tourist type items and regular items as well. There is plenty of items to choose from here including jewelry, clothing, Crocs, toys, candy, hermit crab, dishes, mugs, beach bags, towels, purses, novelty socks and so much more!! The staff here is super friendly and helpful. Willing to answer any questions you may have or help in any way. But not intrusive. I highly recommend stopping here. So much nicer than the typical beach stores you see everywhere. read more

This is a great gift shop. It has a lot to offer. Pocketbooks, bags, water bottles, shirts, sweatshirts, shells, slippers, Christmas decorations, jewelery, scarves, dresses, kitchen items, posters, books and toys. It has everything. It is open later than most gift shops and is a fun place to browse. I always find something here and even a Christmas present or two. If you love items of the seashore or with seashore motif, you will like this store. read more

Pony fetishism for the win. Ugh. Maybe it was the crowd in town at the time, as I believe there was a pony/honey boo boo hybrid fashion show up the road later. It scared me. It's a pretty class shop for gifts, though. Good mix of goofy stuff and nice stuff, mixed in with the usual touristy kitsch. read more

I came to buy a gift for a friend. They had a bunch of cute unique bracelets that hold by a magnetic clasp. I bought one for 16.95 yesterday afternoon. While wrapping it today I tried it on and the magnetic was very weak and not holding the bracelet. Because I paid cash and while camping here I could not find the receipt I figured well I'll exchange it and pay the difference for the better piece of jewelry. Nope they would not allow me even though it was the same exact lady who served me yesterday in there bag and I in there box. I was told only if it was the same exact piece which I had bought the last. Waste of money and time. read more

This place is nicer than the other souvenir shops in town. They do have some of the same cheesey souvenirs the others have (magnets, seashell crap, etc) but they also have some very nice gifts, and nicer souvenir t-shirts if you just HAVE to prove to everyone that you were there. They had a pretty big selection of jewelry and lots of windchimes and outdoor decor. I always make a stop when I'm in town. read more

This gift shop is our regular stop for souvenirs and gifts. Easy to find on Maddox. Large store, best selection in town. We usually buy a doggie gift for our neighbor's Mastiffs. Nice selection of calendars. Some tasteful items as well as beach souvenirs. read more

HUGE store. I thought it was a restaurant at first. Lots of great items, you're bound to find a souvenir here rather than a lot of the other gift shops on the island. There are lots of great and interesting items at this store, and one is tempted to enjoy a lengthy browse. Not a great idea for me and my family, though, as the staff were curt, followed us around, and were far less than friendly. Not just one person, but two- a floor staff and the cashier. Still trying to understand what that was about ... perhaps not kid-friendly? Totally inappropriately firm with us and I now regret that we bought anything there at all. The nicest gift shop on Chincoteague Island, The Brant is more of a boutique than a souvenir shop. They keep a nice selection of Life Is Good clothes, Tervis, Jelly Beans, and Crocs in stock plus they have a Christmas year-round section in the back. Always worth stopping in. read more

Fun to roam around in. Nothing special. Nice place to visit on a rainy day. Nice stuff.... but again nothing special.
