You can find it by turning left under the bridge behind Moor St station and then taking the second road on the right. Inside you will find a cosy restaurant with a straw ceiling, wooden tables with crochet tablecloths and other traditional polish decorations. It's quite cheesy but effective. Food is hearty and trsditional, probably not much for vegetarians. We had a sharing trough for 6-8 people last time so I've tried a great deal now. The dumplings are delicious, as is the stuffed chicken. Sides of sourkraut, beetroot and potato are super too. It isn't refined cooking but it is good, hearty and fun. They have a great vodka selection too. The mint and lime is lovely to sip neat. They also have mead and polish beer. Service is warm and helpful. I visited in a group of 13 last week and they were wonderful, even giving a free drink to the birthday girl. A great experience!

We wanted to try as much as we could fit in, so instead of mains, we ordered a selection of starters including a soup each. While the presentation was superb, I found the actual food too salty. Highlights were beetroot soup with mushroom-filled rolls in the side. And the cabbage dumplings. I wanted to give Karczma more stars but the food just didn't blow me away. I can imagine this is a fun place to bring a group in the evening, though - allowing the opportunity to tear into some hefty sharing options. And knock back a few vodkas. There are three steps when ordering -- choosing your noodles (or rice), topping and sauce. Noodles vary from the traditional Japanese ramen (wheat noodles), Udon (thicker wheat noodles), or perhaps a classic Chiense Dan Meen (egg wheat noodles). The toppings selection varies with Wofon special (selection of meats, prawn, roast pork), mixed seafood, or roast duck, for example. And lastly, the sauces. Selection can be Chinese Szechuan spicy, curry, or Japanese teriyaki. What I love about Wofon (aside from their amazing cheap prices) is that there is such a plethora of selection choices. You can order soup noodles one day, mixing noodles another, mixing rice, or wok fried rice. The selections are completely endless! I also strongly recommend the spare ribs with barbecued sauce as a starter. And the banana with vanilla ice cream as a dessert. And for £2.50, you can't beat the price. Enjoy!

However, the experience fell short in how our family was treated--particularly as parents of a neurodiverse toddler. Understandably, our little one was tired and hungry when we arrived. While waiting for food, he became overstimulated and struggled to stay calm, eventually settling with a game that helped him regulate--though it did cause him to vocalize loudly in excitement. We were actively trying to manage this, including removing the crayons and activities when they became unhelpful. A supervisor then approached us and said other guests were complaining, asking whether we could "keep him quiet or go outside." While we understand the need to be mindful of other diners, the way this was said felt more like an ultimatum than a compassionate check-in. In that moment, we needed support, not pressure. What made it worse was overhearing a staff member say to a couple who had just been seated near us, "Let us know if you want to move at any point." This clearly implied our child was a problem. To their credit, the couple themselves questioned why they'd need to move--highlighting that the issue wasn't as disruptive as it was made out to be. Still, overhearing this exchange without any attempt by staff to reassure or support us left us feeling judged and unwelcome. We truly understand the challenge of balancing a calm environment for all diners, but families--especially those with neurodiverse children--need more understanding, not subtle exclusion. These situations require empathy and discretion, not public discomfort. Again, thank you for your excellent attention to food allergies. That part of the service was handled with care and professionalism. We hope this feedback encourages greater awareness and inclusive training for staff so that families can feel just as welcomed as anyone else.

So far i've tried their Jerk Chicken, Curried Goat and fish and all were a tasty dish. Sammy is wortha a mention too!
