We visited this location twice since it's close to our AirBnb, once at lunchtime, and once in the morning. The food and drink (coffee and smoothies) are fresh and high quality. The kitchen is downstairs and the food comes up via a dumbwaiter. Everything is super fresh. The pancakes were made to perfection. I had the eggs Benedict with bacon and the avocado sandwich. They have much more egg favor than the yellow egg yolks. The tomatoes are very fresh. The sausage is good. The other order I ordered is egg Benedict. It has some holiday sauce on it which I really like. Overall the restaurant is really good. The price is fair. The music in the restaurant is pretty loud. My daughter (5 YO), wife, and I randomly stumbled across this place after searching for somewhere child friendly to eat after visiting Borough Market (which was insanely busy to push a stroller around on a Saturday at 1pm, but I did I consider this... no ‍). We were greeted kindly at the door and were promptly taken to a table while allowing us to bring in our oversized inappropriate for central London stroller. Waitress sat us down and was very enthusiastic about talking us through the favorite meals at the breakfast club. Music was fantastic, vibe was sound, and when the food came is was delicious! Loved this place so much! I heard about it from a friend and they told me I had to try it. Best pancakes ever! They weren't super sweet (like I usually like them) but they tasted great. We ordered the: * pancakes with berries (which comes with lots of cream on top) * a side of hash browns (a must) * flat white coffee * bacon, egg, hash brown, and cheese sandwich The food we chose was perfect and everything was super flavorful. The staff was quite nice and super fast. We got there right at 8 AM on Saturday when they open and there was already a good amount of people behind us. By 8:20 AM, the restaurant was full of people with every table taken.. so I recommend going very early if you go on the weekend. The decorations and aesthetic of the restaurant is quite cute (makes for a good Instagram spot)! I noticed that they also have a few bars underneath the restaurant with good drink deals. Probably better than actual American breakfast potatoes, tbh. The other hit was the bacon. Not too crispy or chewy, but a perfect combo of the two. Now the misses: my over easy eggs were not over easy, but they were okay. I was not a fan of the sausage, it had weird spices and texture to it that I didn't like. My husband did enjoy the sausage though, so that's worth mentioning. Lastly, the pancakes were not good. I expect pancakes to be fluffy, and these were flat and dense, almost chewy. This is a review of the diner only, not the secret bar. It is getting the full five stars because it was the perfect American diner. There was no flash or kitschy memorabilia just straight up classic food in a comfortable setting. This beats the Soho location for me. We got lucky upon arrival not to wait for a table, and even scored a booth! Service was quick and friendly. Coffee was better than expected. Perhaps they can add drip coffee like Americans serve if they want to make it more authentic but my mocha was good and friend enjoyed her green smoothie. Then came the food, with a diverse menu that represented both America and the UK. You can get a full English breakfast, pancakes, Eggs Benedict, chorizo, toast, mix and match, it all looked tasty. I went with the Huevos Al Benny, a cross between spicy Huevos Rancheros and Eggs Benedict, while my friend opted for Reggie the Veggies, roasted potatoes and vegetables with eggs cooked your way. We gobbled it all down! I like the no frills atmosphere, you don't need to dress up to come here although your dishes are Instagram worthy and delicious. Came here with three friends during a busy time (we waited 30 minutes for a table) and the service was terrible and food was blah. The server got a few of our orders wrong, food arrived at all different times, it took forever to get more cream for our coffees, the bill at the end wasn't right, and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it had come out of a can. Apparently this place has one of the best speakeasy bars in London bridge area but we didn't make it that far. The waiting time was truly outrageous, you get your name on the waiting list which ticks by extremely slowly. I'd been to the Soho one, a week ago and LOVED the food there. So when we got off at Borough market and were looking for a brunch kind of menu, I thought I'd treat my siblings here, since they were quite keen to visit. (This was after a few places higher up my wishlist ranking in the area, turned out to be closed on Monday) We had a short wait. About 10 minutes (around 11:30am on a Monday - when Borough Market is semi closed) The employees were polite, but they just seemed to be a bit disconnected. The reason I mention this, is that the staff at the Soho location are so friendly and enthusiastic, that it adds to the experience. Compared to them, the staff here were almost catatonic in comparison. No smiles when responding, just a blank stare. Often they would just glaze over you when you were trying to catch their attention. So I've been to this one, the Soho one and the Shoreditch one and I think that this one is my second favourite (only after the Shoreditch one). When you go to the breakfast club, its kind of like you know what you're getting yourself in for - some decent American diner type breakfast food! On this occasion, I opted for the Chorizo hash and a coke. Coming in at £8.50, the Chorizo hash was a mixture of chopped up and fried chorizo, crushed potatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms with a poached egg to top it off. It was very tasty and filling! I couldn't finish it all! It also came with a little pot of what I can only describe as a sour cream and chive sauce and I really was not a fan of that as it had curdled slightly after being placed on top of the hot food. The service was very good and fast - just what I like! Also I like the ambiance of this Breakfast Club as the music was very retro - Aretha Franklin, The Jackson 5 to name a few, however it fits in with the American retro diner decor.
