Chris very attentive And made sure to ask all the right questions - sleeping position, how hot do you got while sleeping, and most importantly price range. I was also very impressed with the sanitation measures they have in place. Not only do they have a cover for the pillows but you are expected to grab a sheet to lay down on if you are trying out the mattresses. This was not the case at some of the other places we went to. I much prefer this method! I was also really sold on their take away policy. I'm willing to pay $15 for them to take my mattress away because it ends up going to someone who needs it or to a recycling depot. You can't donate your mattress unless you go through something like this it's worth the money. Sleep Country is a store where they sell mattresses not a furniture store selling mattresses on the side. They know their stuff so if you're looking to buy furniture go to the a furniture place but if you need a new mattress come to Sleep Country.

To backtrack slightly, I am a comparison shopper, through and through. I have a tough time making any purchase without looking at multiple stores and options to assure myself I am getting the best price and product for my needs. Unfortunately for mattresses, every manufacturer makes a certain style of mattress that is exclusive to the store selling it. This means that if you want to compare a mattress from Sleep Country to places like The Brick, The Bay, or Sears, it is darn near impossible because they all have different names and slightly different features. Sleep Country does price matching, but it will never be an exact match because no one else sells the exclusive mattresses they do, and vice versa with other stores. Sleep Country was the first place my husband and I visited when starting mattress shopping, and we got a bed education, trying out different firmness levels of the same mattress, and learning about the different types of mattress styles. This was pretty helpful and I enjoyed having some assistance shopping, but near the end of our visit we started to get the used-car pressure sales pitch. We narrowed our choices, and the salesperson came back with a little post-it note with their "best price", and we got a pitch about how there were only a few left and we should put one on hold right now. It turns out that putting it on hold actually means you are buying the mattress, with the remainder of the money due on delivery date. We didn't realize this until they asked us to pick the delivery date. After shopping around we went back and I realized I did not like the mattress we had put on hold/already purchased. Switching to a different mattress wasn't a problem, and we've been able to adjust our delivery date a couple of times. I will update the review after delivery if there are any problems or significant things to note. Overall I would shop at Sleep Country again, and recommend them, but I have to knock a couple of stars off for the unnecessary pressure sales tactics. It was a turn-off, and I didn't experience this at any of the other stores where we looked at mattresses.

We didn't want to buy one right then, but we wanted to learn more about what we should buy when the time came. The gentleman who worked there was great. He didn't approach us at first (he was on a telephone call) so we got to browse a bit before hand. When he was free, he asked what we were looking for and if we needed any help. We did. He explained to us what the best kind of mattresses were for side sleepers and what were best for back sleepers. He showed us the different coils that came in the different brands. He was sooooo helpful! We laid on a few different mattresses and figured out what we liked best. They had some great sales on too. The one we liked best was even one of the sale items! We didn't buy anything right then and there but we did take a business card and I know that when we decided to buy that mattress, it's him we will be going to see. He was really helpful and really great. It's the best place for mattresses that I've ever been to!

I bought a pillow from sleepcountry.ca about 2 months ago. I had researched several pillows and…read moremade my decision based on the 4.5 star rating and multiple reviews claiming it was supper supportive. It wasn't. I didn't like it. It was extremely soft and compressed to less than 20% the original size. Sleep country won't let me return it. They also deleted it from my account so I can't review it. When I contacted the chat help they said I would have to submit my review to customer service via email. Despite the auto response email saying they take customer concerns very seriously and respond to every one within 2 business days they never gotten back to me. They have however posted several new rave reviews of the pillow I bought. Curious how everything on their site has 4.5 star ratings and above. I guess a strict no returns policy and censoring reviews is good for business. I then posted a negative review on Facebook and then they go back to me. They said that they couldn't post the negative review because they thought that the pillow might be defective and that I should bring it too a store to have it inspected. They also said that I could get a gift card for 50% of the value of the pillow if I wanted it. I replied that I would a month ago and still haven't heard back from them.

The one we had in mind was not at this outlet, but "Rico" showed us quite a few different models. and even took us into the back to see some new product that still had to be put on the floor. There was one that we were considering. He went out of his way to get staff to power it up. We had to leave but he suggested we come back the next day and he would talk to the manager. Well we did and the price was excellent and they could deliver it in 2 days. Between the very helpful staff and the accommodating manager, I think we will make it our practice when looking for furniture, to go to this outlet before the regular big box stores! Thanks to Rico!

The issue i have is with the delivery team. When they first delivered the mattresses, they banged and marked up walls in my house that were freshly painted (i.e. the painter was there and actually took pictures and sent them to me - he told the delivery guys that they smucked the walls and their response was to laugh and say no we didn't). Dealing with the store, they said they would credit me for the damages. he issue then was I should have ordered low profile box springs for 2 of the beds (a king size and a queen size bed). So it was no problem to exchange these. The issue again was the delivery team. Because I live 6 min from the store (just outside of St. Albert) i had to have a different delivery team and unfortunately the two that came to exchange the box springs were the same two that banged up my walls the first time. The problem is the beds were set up from when they originally delivered the beds and box springs. Due to Covid you have to have the box spring that you want exchanged bagged up. As a female, it is almost impossible for me to move a king size box spring into a bag - so the delivery team, refused to pick up the original box springs and deliver the new box springs because of this. I now have to reschedule a delivery, and because of where I live, it takes longer than if I lived in St. Albert and again, I will have to deal with the two guys who I'm sure will do anything to make life harder for me because I complained about them the first time. I honestly don't know if I would order anything from the Brick again if i have to deal with this delivery team. And short of hiring someone to bag the box springs for me, i think I will be stuck with a bed that is basically counter height and impossible to get into without a step stool - and its not just me who feels this way, friends and family laugh when they see how tall both beds are and because of this issue, I have been unable to move back into my house as I don't have a bed that I can sleep on. Again, the only reason for the low rating is the delivery team and the crazy guideline that you have to personally bag your "old" box spring (and this one is new and has only been touched by the delivery team themselves.....

He didn't try to up sell me, which I super enjoyed!! The only reason I dropped a star is that I paid for delivery & removal of my old mattress, yet I did about 50% of the actual labour. Make sure they bring two people if you are having them deliver or take away. Overall I am super happy with having such a great option here in Sherwood Park.

Shockingly bad customer service. I bought a bed, looked beautiful, but a slat broke in the first…read morecouple days. I contacted customer service to let them know, and asked them to send me a new slat. The customer service person said that if I sent photos, they would judge if they were willing to SELL me a replacement part. Instead of an apology for the product breaking, they were implying that I was somehow trying to trick them (to get a free bit of wood?), and then trying to sell me a part that was defective when they sold it to me. This part is literally worth less than a dollar on a $500 bed, broke so quickly it's either badly made or defective, and it feels like crap when it's broken. I'll definitely never shop here again.
