If I could give this store negative stars I absolutely would. They sold an 85 year old woman a washing machine that didn't work from the time they delivered it and refuse to exchange it. To do that to a vulnerable senior is the lowest of the low. She even purchased their extended warranty and they tell her she has to have the broken one repaired. When someone purchases a product you have a responsibility to deliver that product in working order. This woman has medical issues and is stressing to the point I am afraid she will have a heart attack, but the employees at this store don't care. The machine apparently needs a new motor and something else and it hasn't even been used! I am disgusted and will never buy anything from them. read more

The worst warranty service in peterborough by far!!! I highly recommend peterborough appliance instead of these jerks that don't care about you one bit once you pay for your item and leave their store! After 20 years of buying thousands worth of furniture and appliances from them, I will Never return no matter how good the deal and it's become my mission to spread the word to everyone I know! Dealing with the Bricks extended warranty company has been a terrible experience. It's an outfit called King and State, they are incompetent and they lie. I realize the Brick contracts the warranty work to the these guys because they were the cheapest.....but the savings for the Brick from this cannot make up for what the Brick loses in customer relations/loyalty.......I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy from the Brick again as long as they are in cohoots with King and State. Dealing with them has been a TERRIBLE experience these last 5 long months. And the Brick itself was really no help, once the one year manufacturers warranty is up and the extended warranty kicks in that I had bought for 4 appliances. Customer service was horrible, a misunderstanding happened, and they would not correct it by honoring the sale price, even when I showed them a picture of the price. I didn't get the whole package deal as I was suppose to. I left a deposit, which didn't specify my purchase. I trusted this would be fine, but when I paid my full price, I didn't see all the items I thought I had paid for. I will do everything NOT to shop at this store again. I will travel a distance. Even the manager would not take my calls. So sad read more

If I could give it a negative rating on this app I would have. We spent over $10,000 on livingroom and bedroom furniture and purchased the 5 year warranty. Now that the warranty is almost up and our Power couch recliner is stuck in the open position, we cant seem to get any service. I called late June to let them know our issue, a repairman came in July, said a wire was broke on the motor and they would have to order a new part. Well here it is going on 4 months and still no repair, when I've inquired to Hannah Sinclair, she tells me the part is on order but due to Covid it has been delayed, blah, blah, blah. She has since stopped replying to my emails even though I was only asking for an update and now I have sent an email off to Head Office in Edmonton and they have not replied even though you get an automatic reply back saying someone will contact you in 2-3 days. Spending that money was not an easy decision and I regret even going there. All future shoppers, please save yourself time and trouble and shop elsewhere. read more

May 2018 -- Mary Jo was wonderful to work with! She is very knowledgeable and kind. She helped me choose a dishwasher and had everything delivered and taken care of for me. It was the smoothest transaction. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I will be back for the matching pieces. Thank you! November 2018 -- I was so please with the service I received when I purchased my new dishwasher that we just purchased a matching washer/dryer. Again, Mary Jo was incredibly helpful and knew exactly the right appliances that would suit my needs with the features I was looking for. Both are front load with large capacity for all our bedding, steam option is great, no more ironing! But my favorite feature is the sanitize option as my husband is a first responder so making sure his uniform is properly sanitized is a must. Bonus - they both play a nice little melody when the cycle is finished, not a loud buzzer - it's fantastic! My opinion of this furniture store has changed considerably. I used to only shop at The Brick but as of the last few months my mind has changed. Their staff has become less and less willing to help the customers and one of the staff members in the customer service department, a female employee was really ignorant and rude with us, unfortunately for them on a visit where we were planning to spend a great deal of money. We will never return to this location. read more
