I spoke about my style as the employee gathered a few styles and we looked as well. She made me feel comfortable and talked me through the different styles. She was respectful and not pushy. At both of my dress appointments, I had an idea of the type of dress I was looking for, but tried on anything that the consultant or those with me pulled for me. The team were very accommodating as last minute work travel affected my appointments, and they kept both the dress and veil onsite until I picked it up the day before the wedding. I also had Gail design my bridesmaid dresses. I had one maid of honor and one bridesmaid who lived out of state. They picked their design and sent Gail their measurements, and she created the dresses. We met to discuss what color and Gail did her magic from there. I had maybe three fittings with Gail, and the bridesmaids had two- one the day before the wedding. Gail also made the guys' ties. The dresses and ties were absolutely perfect. Gail was wonderful. Gail's work is fabulous, she is incredibly outgoing and friendly, and clearly enjoys what she does. She also sells some party dresses and wedding gowns. I would go see her again if I needed a dress created or a dress altered. The bridesmaid dresses were $150, for a custom dress! Gail sells wedding dresses and party dresses, makes dresses, alters dresses, and does the usual alterations. I'd see Gail if I needed clothes altered or if I needed a dress for a party. Your real like Fairy Godmother...the kicker is I'm just talking about the work she did on my Maid of Honor Dress!! Let me start by saying my phone call to Nancy started like this. "Hi, Nancy? Yes, I have a problem. I'm the MOH in a wedding which sort of just was decided today and the zipper is broken on the dress. And well the sleeves need removed and well...the wedding is in 30 days" At this point she was beyond kind but,also beyond busy. She was booked. After hearing the desperation in my voice and looking over her schedule she was amazing enough to work with my work schedule and fit me in the next day. She works from her home and has this fabulous dressing room off the side where you enter and you immediately feel like you know she is going to make it better. And that's what she did. She took a dress bridesmaid dress and made it perfect for me. Her attention to detail and eye for how something should look like and lay on the body is a true talent. She is amazing. She didn't just help me find a dress -- she found my soul dress. I'm originally from Germany, grew up there, and later met my husband here in the U.S. His sister recommended L&H Bridal Rack (she also got her dress there), so we went the traditional way -- all the women of the family together. We had the BEST time, even my mom was on FaceTime at midnight from Germany watching me try on dresses. It was such a special experience. Later, things got stressful when the seamstress I used elsewhere didn't do the work she promised -- no bustle, nothing -- and charged me anyway. I called L&H one week before my wedding, panicking. Sara told me to come in right away and reassured me we would find a solution -- and she meant it. Lucy (the owner) and her daughter stepped in, looked at the gown, and said, "This needs real work."
