It's hard to write this review when we look at the other reviews (including on other sites). It…read morefeels like we had a completely different person. But we were so disappointed with the level of service we received from Theresa. We hired her to alleviate the stresses we knew would be hard for us to handle on our wedding day, and it seemed she only added to them. Leading up to the wedding, Theresa's inefficiency felt like maybe it was maybe a fluke. The good reviews kept us saying, "No, she's going to be good on the day. Look at these reviews!" She was kind when we spoke, and sometimes made it seem like she had things under control. But as the day inched closer, the red flags became clearer. By that point, though, it was too late to do anything about it. We had at least 2 vendors tell us that Theresa had not been in contact. We had guests/family telling us that she looked lost the entire time, asked them for help, and even complained to other people up to their ears in tasks that she didn't know what to do or have enough help to do it. It's hard to know how to begin when going over the level of incompetence Theresa displayed, so here is a list: - Going back to before the wedding, Theresa would go days and sometimes weeks without responding to our emails or texts. She also did not know how to "reply all" to emails, which seems a basic tenet of modern communication. - Theresa never confirmed that she got our full-day timeline, nor did she share it with vendors. She also seemingly never referred to the timeline for the day when she should have been telling people/us/vendors what to do and where to go. (Our officiant was never told it was time to go to the alter, the groom and the bride either - we all sort of heard people murmuring wondering where we were. Maybe at the last second, if I remember correctly, Theresa chaotically coming to the room I was in and telling me to go go go.) - Theresa did not direct people to our welcome table, as specified, so many of them did not know about the site maps (painstakingly made by our nephew) and table seating order or order of events. - Theresa never asked for a seating plan for the ceremony and in our madness of the millions of details, we never got her one and so the seating arrangement was incorrect for the first two rows pushing very important people to rows further back. - Theresa showed no knowledge of how to set up our dessert table despite us having sent multiple images of how we wanted it. The bride's stepmother and stepsister had to ask her to not help because they said she was making things worse/more complicated. - Two days before our wedding when we had still not heard from Theresa and asked why not, she emailed us telling us details about some personal issues taking a toll on her. While we were sorry to hear she was going through these situations, none of those details should have been given to a couple in the midst of the last days of planning a wedding. - It is worth saying that Theresa's clean-up at the end of the night was great. However, the cost of a cleanup crew would have been one-third of what she charged us. - When the site owner began to cause problems about an hour before our contracted time to end and decided to turn our lights and music off a half-hour before that time, Theresa was nowhere to be seen. But we did hear that during that time she was clearing our charcuterie boards and sandwiches from their table while people were still eating.

Very similar to Jake G.'s review on 6/10/2022, disappointed does not even come close to the reality of our experience. The ineptitude & level of incompetence was astonishing. She was hired for the day of the wedding. Two family members & I came to help her set up that morning. At the beginning we wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt; however, that became increasingly difficult as the day went on. In the first 4 hours she was there, she ironed a handful of round tablecloths & set up a few glasses. Table set up & placement, decorations, extensive lighting set up, decor of cake & bridal party tables, and the details she was hired to take care of were NONEXISTENT. The additional bride & groom's family members & friends who arrived ended up doing her job up until an hour from the start of the ceremony. She had zero knowledge of the itinerary & order of events for the day, which were provided to her well in advance. She was instructed to minimally decorate the church which was only 1 mile from the reception hall with a few flower placements that were already provided and did not fulfill these duties either. We were absolutely HORRIFIED!!! She did not assist in seating guests, nor did she perform ANY of the duties required during the reception. At one point the bride gave her specific instructions to place some finger foods out for the guests, and this did not happen, as we later found the food in the refrigerator. Her appearance was disheveled: hair uncombed, attire unprofessional for a wedding, mannerisms questionable. She did not have an approachable demeanor, she lacked leadership and did not direct any events during the wedding or reception. It felt like she didn't even care. The hired food servers were unaware that a wedding coordinator had even been hired for the day. Several of our guests pulled us aside during the reception due to her strange behavior: A guest noticed she had gone to the bathroom & stayed absent for an extended period of time during the reception. Another guest found her sitting in her car on her phone in the parking lot for a long time and had to tell her to go back to her "job." Needless to say, it felt like a complete waste of money!! She definitely added to our stress & did not fulfill all of her contractual obligations. Brides BEWARE!!! I would HATE for this to happen to another bride on her special day. AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Before discussing how incredible he is, I'd like to mention that Judge Gunther officiated my parents' wedding 34 years ago in 1990. It was a profound honor to have him officiate our ceremony on April 27th, 2024. This connection made the event even more special, and he was the perfect person for the job.
