I first came across Jessica as one of the suggested planners from our venue (Desert Ridge Estate). It was a no-brainer that we signed with Jessica. Her confidence in her ability and tenure felt priceless, and I knew I could rely on her network given her career in the Desert area. Something unexpected happened though right after I had signed with her--I got pregnant! Instead of feeding into my flustered worry, Jessica reassured me that things would still go on smoothly and that she was totally on board to plan this wedding with me. Jessica was quick to expedite vetting and booking vendors (all lovely folks from her network) to leave enough wiggle room for me to do NO wedding work during my first three months postpartum so that I can focus on newborn bliss and recovery. That was truly special, and I am forever grateful that she kept me on top of things enough for me to not worry during those months. Everything leading up to the wedding, Jessica was always extremely responsive, tee'd up with knowledge and advice, and reassuring that everything was going smoothly. I also really appreciated that she let me ship some items directly to her place of business so that I didn't have to drive everything from OC. Rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. That weekend was perfect. And I give Jessica the highest credit. Her staff made sure that nothing was amiss, my guests were well-taken care of, and that I was well-taken care of. He was at that stage where he could have stranger danger, but he warmed up to her instantly. I was responsible for putting together a family reunion for 60 people in La Quinta that included a Western themed party night. Initially I thought that I could handle everything on my own. But when planning an event like this...whether it is 60 people or 600 people, for the most part it still has the same components. I quickly found out that planning from a different state (Arizona) was nearly impossible. It was 6 months before the reunion and I still had not found a venue that would be suitable for our event...much less get a call back from them during the summer. I was panicked that I wouldn't be able to get it all together by the reunion date! I decided that I needed an event planner and found 5 star Jessica online. And boy I'm glad I did. Awesome Events was FANTASTIC! We were in Palm Desert for a 3 day weekend / family retreat with 4 generations. Jessica, Zach and the entire team were all super helpful, organized, courteous, and resourceful. No job was too big or too small - and you get that sense from the minute you speak to Jessica. She has a "can-do" attitude, and goes above and beyond to make your event memorable. Their team helped with day-of coordination, which included: MC'ing various games, running out for extra alcohol and snacks, staffing servers and bartenders throughout the day, and even helping to source a last minute request for full size poker tables and dealers when we wanted to gamble at night. When the winds turned into mini-tornadoes, her team rushed outside to take in our belongings and secure our rentals to ensure nothing would be ruined. We saved a bunch on damage fees from that alone! We hired Jessica as our wedding planner about 9 months from the wedding date. She's been in the wedding industry in the Palm Springs area for decades so her experience was invaluable. She helped us decide on our venue- the Cree Estate. She's done 60+ weddings there so it was a walk in the park for her. Our venue required us to bring everything in, from outside catering, rentals, everything even down to the outdoor lighting. The amount of hours and days she saved me on vendor selection alone was remarkable. I LOVED every single vendor she recommended. Short version of this review: no need to look further, just book Jessica! Long version: My then-fiancé (now husband) and I were looking for a day-of coordinator for our small DIY wedding in a Bermuda Dunes Airbnb/Vrbo and came across Jessica. I sent her an email to get more information. To my surprise, she emailed me back almost right away and we talked on the phone that same day. That almost never happens with wedding vendors including planners/coordinators. From my experience, no vendor is as responsive as Jessica and you definitely want that with your planner/coordinator. After our call, we knew right away that we wanted Jessica as our coordinator. Her years of professional event planning/coordinating experience was exactly what we needed. She knows the area like the back of her hands. She is familiar with many of the local vendors and as the vendors are with her. During the planning process, while she was not our planner, she was very supportive. This being the first wedding we planned, there were things we didn't think of, Jessica reminded us of those important things. She supported us every step during the planning process. On the day of the wedding, she arrived like a knight in shining armor to save the day. I was worried about the wind because our decors, plates, utensils are all feather-like weight. Jessica was not concerned at all. She took care of it and everything else so me, my husband, and our wedding party could focus on getting ourselves ready and being present in the moments. We also hired her staff for the wedding. They were amazing too! They are professionals. They took care of our guests and made sure their glass was never empty. Jessica and the staff took care of any problem before we knew there was a problem. Before they left, they cleaned everything and everything (flowers, vases, his/her champagne glasses, decors, and more) was neatly put away! The bartender even poured us a plate of shots and prepped everything for self serving. Everything happens so fast on your one and only wedding day.
